Had soccer training last two nights, new boots, feet are blistered as hell which is crap. Also joined a touch footy team, which is exciting. Keen to play something resembling footy again tbh, without the associated pain. Although I have to say alot of those games that are derivatives of other sports, eg futsal, touch footy, indoor cricket (especially) give me nowhere near the satisfaction of playing the real sport. And I was a dreadful rugby league player, particularly on the wing where I was often put (found fullback much easier/more fun, and defensively preferred hooker because you have no choice but to tackle in the middle of the field, although my delivery from dummy half sucked). Often thought I'd love to just play one more game some time, can't see why it would happen though.
I'm thinking of playing cricket next season for the first time in five years as well.
Not growing after about 14 really cruelled my game fast bowling ambitions, and when I came in to grade I just lost my delivery stride/run up and couldn't put two balls in the same spot. Off spinners were going alright the last half a season I played though, so probably do that.
Was opening the batting that season also but my eyesight has gone backwards since then. That'll be an adjustment
