BTW, the P-51 was crapola before they put the Merlin engine in it.

The P-47 was the toughest, most highly survivable fighter of WWII.

The FW 190? Nah mate, those were expensive to build and had serious over heating problems with the engines.

The P-47 had the highest suvivability rate of any fighter during WWII. 2 out of 3 were still in service after the war.
