last red ring of death i had involved a dodgy chicken curry... boomtsh.

on a srs bsns note - your 3 options as i see them, SC:

1. Console is under warrenty (less than 3 years old) - you register the console online, microsoft sends you a postage paid bag to stick it in and you post it... a few weeks later a working xbox returns. obviously the most desirable option.

2. Console not under warrenty - wrap it in a towel. i know, sounds stupid, but youtube "xbox 360 rrod towel". it's legit, and for some it works. the science behind it is that you are intentionally overheating the console to resit solder that has come loose/aged. i think... at least that's what my geek instincts are telling me. you might get a bit more life out of it, you might not.

3. Throw it at the wall. you're f**ked, and unless you know someone that knows someone that fixes them, you're up f**ked creek with a menstrual pad-dle, and nary an assistance more. use an outside wall... we wouldn't want to damage anything now, would we...

lol I thought the towel wrapping thing was if you get the RROD that isnt covered by warranty, so you overheat it so badly that it well and truly f**ks itself and MS has to fix it

you can get more milage out of it using the same method, but yes you are right, it's generally a one way ticket, and a lucky dip. it's an out-of-warrenty, last resort type thing.

Oh and btw, you all wouldn't have said that stuff about U2 if it were just some 10 post nub that brought them up, but because it's me and I'm a local celebrity / sexiest Man on the site, you all had to put your hater face on.

Sound familiar?

U2

If you want to be preached to about human rights after spending between $100 and $300, sure.
In fairness, there was only one real mention of human rights on Monday night. In a show that goes for two and a half hours, that's pretty good ...

I got swarmed by Amnesty ala Agent Smith in the Matrix at U2...they came from no where and just kept coming. Signed some stupid petition and in hindsight realised I missed an opportunity where I could've given fake details - damn my honest upbringing!

Apart from a video of Desmond Tutu, a video about Muslims and Amnesty placing lanterns on the stage the show was just a show. Bono basically flirted with young women while the crowd sang for him.

You actually backed up my exact assertion earlier on by saying that :p
