Can never discuss enough Bond BDR, especially on the eve of what could be considered the best film of the series. Deano, did you read the books? I've heard Dr. No & From Russia With Love were both fairly faithful, plus how can you diss Connery like that, stone cold man.

For mine, nothing tops Diamonds Are Forever. Dat Bassey voice.

The majority of other Bonds were a lot more humourous. I prefer the Craig era because the movies are darker and more serious and Daniel Craig fits that perfectly. He wouldn't have been as good in the Connery/Moore eras and they wouldn't have been as good in this time.

Casino Royale is my favourite Bond movie. Quantum of Solace wasn't as good but it was a very high bar to meet and I feel QoS answered a lot of questions and tied up loose ends from CR. And most importantly of all made Vesper Lynd the good character she was meant to be.

The vast majority of reviews say Skyfall is outstanding and puts Craig in the conversation as greatest Bond ever. Can't wait to see it.

But the "best Bond" argument is silly. Everyone has different preferences.

Watched Quantum of Solace and On Her Majestys Secret Service yesterday.

QoS isn't bad, but tbh it's a better action movie than spy movie I guess. Still enjoyed it.

OHMSS is amazing... it has Bond fist-fighting Dr Evil on a toboggan.
