I hate how unsportsmanlike our cricket team is. We are the English football team of the cricketing world.
We're not really that bad tbh. We copped an unfair wrap during the Waugh/Punter era's. For the most part we were more arrogant than unsportsmanlike, and we backed up that arrogance pretty well. Generally we were so good on the field they had to look for something else to criticise. Certainly their were times we crossed the line but f**k every country has incidents like that.

Not to mention Punter blowing his top in 05 when he got run out by the sub fielder, which was sour grapes given he got run out when he shouldnt have but that overshadowed largely the fact that Englands tactics re sub fielders were completely against the spirit of the game.

Again, have a look at some of the Indian players, some of the flogs who've played for various nations and you'll see incidents of poor sportsmanship are fairly universal in cricket, in this country though we obviously see it more from our side only.

Although we were bad tonight, and Maxwell's a flog. Arrogance and lip when you've done f**k all in your international career is a horrible look.

:(

*more hugs*

hugs indeed. Did you sort anything out with the BDO tickets (sorry I've only been skimming lately).

it's really very miserable around my house, it's been constantly raining since it happened which is pretty appropriate. My mum is a mess. She feels like she's lost a child, she was the one who looked after her for all those years.. bathed her, fed her, loved her to pieces.

and well I lost my best friend. what more can you say besides that it sucks balls, but it will get better eventually.

I had a mate back in 2005 who was in a psych ward for depression (he tried to commit suicide). Anyways, he was in there for about a fortnight and reckoned he didn't need to be in there any more. So the quacks let him out but he didn't let his family know (apparently he wanted to 'surprise' them that he was feeling better). So, as he's walking home a semi-trailer hits a tree branch, knocking the tree branch flying and it falls on his head, killing him instantly.

True story

(p.s. he'd want me to laugh).

On the way to work this morning working in my fancy dress pants, truck races by and blasts mountains of snow all over me.

The world is ending.

Also at the tough guys saying playing cricket aint tough? Having a hard object coming at you at over 100ks an hour that has the ability to break bones and seriously damage you suggests people playing that sport are plenty tough.

Pfft objects at 100kmh are for pretenders join the army and get objects flying at you at over 990 metres per second then come talk to me about tough.

SS's were K-Mart bats when I was a kid......... Just saying.

What were the one's with the honeycombe plugs in the back, Millichamp and Hall???

Lol it's funny to see people call things K-Mart bats meaning they are cheap these days. When I was a lad K-Mart was the go to place all the brands were there, even in bmx there was redline Mongoose Gemini etc.

We never had things liek A-Mart and large sports stores.

Plus it was when there were actual price tags (stickers) so you could pull a sticker off a cheap bat and put it onto a dearer bat and find the dopiest looking checkout operator (not that a lad from Newcastle would ever even contemplate such a thing).

3 year old died in Brisbane because of a falling tree. Very sad news. Who were the heroes saying this was no big deal a few hours ago?

That 3 year old died because his spastic of a mother took him down to Kedron Brook when it had broken its banks and there were high winds. The other 2 people who died in Brisbane were motorcyclists trying to cross creeks. Again, an act of stupidity totally devoid of common sense.

I believe CH and I were calling the wowsers on facebook out for worrying about driving down the shops in the rain and wind. We were qualified to talk about it at the time because unlike you, we both live in the effected area.

Now take your pseudo high horse and ride back to the dunce corner where you belong

who takes their kids to the park for a day out in the middle of an ex-cyclone despite media outlets telling everyone to stay off the roads and inside where its safe ?

seriously, what were they thinking

and now this morning some people think this is a reason to get out and play tourist and take photos of everyone's hardship when they could actually get of their arses and help
