lol besthalfback Mitchell Pearce is Thurston's successor.
Reynolds will have his NSW #7 jersey by the end of the year.

I guarantee by game 3 at the latest the NSW halves will go like this:

6. J. Reynolds
7. A. Reynolds

and they will be the halves for a decade.

And Wayne Bennett will coach souths in 2012. His brother told me so.

i want to go to Cairns for the trial game tonight but remembered I have an engagement party to go to............decisions decisions.

It's trial game day and it's not raining in Cairns for the first time in history.

$30 for a trial game???

Jesus titty f**king!

Thats for the hill mind you......

f**k that... I'm positive if you pick up the local rag they'll have discount coupons or something. Or maybe they've woken up to the fact that we could fill Barlow Park half a dozen times with demand and have jacked up prices accordingly.

I really hope it doesn't transpire, but if Thurston leaves the Cowboys it'll be interesting to see where we end up. I'd wager it'd be a lot closer to the bottom than the top, and given we're finally assembling a squad that could give it a shake I'd let JT write his own cheque.

Also, I like to think Scott and Tamou would've thought a lot longer about leaving if they didn't have an idea that JT was sticking around. But that's probably fantasy.

Mate don't underestimate us if JT leaves. The best we've ever played is that 10 week period IMO at the end of 2004 and into the finals, and guess who was our halves then??? Fien and Nathan Myles, not exactly world beaters but the boys played like a well polished unit and if it weren't for a bit of bad luck and refeering we could have been in the GF in 04. We all know how good a player JT is but there becomes a point where you can't maintain a massive wage to only one player and you need to think of the future. Sometimes $$ isn't everything though, no effence to anyone from Penrith but I've lived out that way for 6 years and whilst there's some great people out there, it can't really compete with this though

1+ million per year for a guy that will be turning 31 next year & with a quite long injury history is borderline ridiculous IMO

In regards to the next long term NSW halfback it should be:

7. Sam Williams

For the best part of a decade too, should NSW wish to see any success over that time period

No Panthers player making more than 200k lives in Penrith.

And I'm not just making fun of them. No Souths player making more than 200k lives in Redfern.

And beave, while not all individual parts of Sydney have the things you picture there, Sydney has all that and more within driving distance of wherever you are.

No one earning less than 200k could afford a house around Redfern/Surry Hills these days tbh, housos excepted.

Redfern actually has some decent parts now, the suburb is changing.

I'm not saying Redfern is a shit suburb, neither is Penrith. But NRL stars don't live there.

Again I'm not talking about the lower class/working class NRL player. I'm talking the big names. They live in the glamour suburbs.

Reynolds wont be playing NRL in another decade let alone be playing Origin for the next decade. You watch his injuries return. It is quite hard to be at your peak for 10 years with the injuries Reynolds has already had.
