I see that kind of behaviour all the time, and usually not from P-platers. I appreciate you experienced a dickhead who was a p-plater, but I think it's unfair to bag them all off because of the actions of one of them. It's not too difficult for anyone to be a second slow in their reaction and run up someone's arse.

The merkin in front of me is the dumb one. The one behind me I felt kinda of sorry for. There was no damage to my car so I told the bloke to relax it's alright.

I just find a lot of people like to blame p-platers for everything, because they're such an easy target. I suspect a lot of people who do so are probably those I observe who continually ignore speed limits, and don't indicate to turn corners or change lanes. So much easier to blame a bunch of young kids than critically examine one's own inadequate driving.

My job is in personal injury law, I am constantly amazed at some of the things folk do on the roads.. Every time I think I have seen it all someone goes above and beyond with a new level of stupidity..

It's why I don't drive much anymore.. And when I do I'm on the look out for everything..

Yep.. Thinking about others is not high on many drivers list of concerns.

Funnily enough, I've observed people also think they are the centre of the universe when ordering a pizza as well. Especially if it turns up 30 seconds later than we quoted. Or if the Bundaberg store has the indecency to be closed when half the town is under water and the other half has been bowled over by tornadoes.
