It's got nothing to do with "British blood".Go live in England then. I don't have one drop of British blood in me and I am glad we have our own National Anthem to sing instead of some Imperial, person worshiping song.
Look at the man who won the 10,000m for GB. He didn't look very stereotypically "British" but the whole nation stood and cheered as he won. All 4 of the countries I mentioned are multicultural and multiethnic, it has nothing to do with any sort of "blood".
1. I never said it was NEVER our anthem. I said I wish it was our anthem now. I made no reference, one way or the other, to history.Good to see you're a f**kwit with no knowledge of history now too.
GSTQ was our anthem until 1984 you imbecile. It will never be the Australian National Anthem again.
2. I never said it will be our anthem. I said I wanted it to be.
So you call me names and make two arguments that don't contradict any of what I said.
I didn't refer to history or the future, I was talking about my personal opinion.
In this day of super fast broadband and plane travel there is no reason why a Greater United Kingdom couldn't work if people put aside silly rivalries and misguided and petty notions of "independence".Bloody hell BunniesMan. New Zealand and Australia jumping into bed makes some sort of sense. What you're suggesting makes none.
Britain is sliding fast to irrelevance, in terms of the whole world the other 3 countries I mentioned are irrelevant.
Combined, and with each nation of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand being on equal terms, we'd be a real world power. With a population of over 100 million wealthy people we'd be more important than any European country and up there as 2nd tier world powers in the 21st century behind only China and the US.
With the increased power we'd have a better chance of shaping the world for the better than we do now as 4 smaller countries.
