We had an atrocious start to last season and still came 3rd. The reason for our start last year was thanks to how our offseason went. It hasn't gone that way this time. So we shouldn't start that badly. Going from 3rd to 2nd is not "delusional".

So United finished easily ahead of Arse last season despite being plagued by injury, we've strengthened our squad with your best player, and yet you think you're going to leapfrog us? Are you capable of making a pronouncement about any sport without making a complete goose of yourself?

I think United overachieved. I think like Chelsea they have aging key players.

United really have a mediocre midfield. I think our midfield is much better than yours. Your defense would be ahead of ours. Our keeper is better. Your forwards might be a bit ahead but not by as much as everyone thinks.

Conventional mainstream opinion says there is a huge gulf in class between United and Arsenals squads, I don't see it. I reckon we're a good chance of being the 2nd best team this season.

Also I'm unconvinced RVP will be as effective in Uniteds System. I think he will cannibalize Rooneys goals and they won't be as amazing together as everyone is assuming.

Young, Kagawa, Cleverley, Anderson, Nani, Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Fletcher, Powell, Jones, Rooney: that's our complete list of potential midfield players. Just because Giggs and Scholes are good enough to keep playing doesn't make our midfield "ageing". Not that age is a relevant criteria, despite what Wenger seems to think. You need a mix of youth and experience to be successful, which is exactly what we have.
