I agree webShark, he has dug himself a massive hole. He's looking very isolated and petulant.
The SMH story fits with Keogh's comments about the NRL being supportive of the players and club.
Harsh fine or not, this all started because the players took something. Gallen must have selective memory.
As Hindmarsh has pointed out the players have education sessions and are the one's responsible for what goes into their bodies.
Duped? Maybe. But why so angry at the NRL and not the coach, trainer or sports scientist? Duped would imply one or all of the above caused the problem. The NRL didn't dupe him.
I still don't understand why Noyce's redundancy caused Gal to lash out at the NRL. The only explanation is he was gassed at the time. If that's the case he just needs to come out and apologise, show remorse, stick his hand up and own the mistake and talk about how he's excited for 2015, moving forward and getting the Sharks back on track.
Instead he has done the exact complete polar opposite. He's dragged the club into another media storm and challenging the fine because "last time I didn't challenge something I regretted it"
He has a massive chip on his shoulder re ASADA. He needs to find a way to get past this or he will be no good to anyone, including himself. He is letting this eat him up inside.
The player's dream big, they want to win the comp. That takes dedication and discipline. All of the successful clubs have that culture. From what I've been hearing he has been a repeat offender, just does as he pleases with regard to team stuff. The coach has been given clear instructions to reel him in upon return.
