Perhaps the difference in the Watmough situation is that it occurred "behind closed doors" at a club function, and not in public?

The club has issued a sanction (fined him?) and the NRL left it at that.

With Stewart and Friend the NRL had to act because the behaviour was in public and the clubs didn't go far enough in their punishments. With Seymour the club did the right thing and saved the NRL the hassle.

Stewart was suspended for events after the season launch. Watmough's event was part of the season launch? I'm just trying to see why it's been dealt with differently to the other three.

That and manly would have whinged twice as much if two of their players were stood down.

I'm happy for the NRL to suspend Watmough for 2 matches, so long as they reduce Stewart's suspension to 2 weeks also.

There are plenty of people on this forum with a holier-than-thou attitude. Maybe it is time to get a life and stop living off the misfortune of oppsition cubs and off field behaviour of players.
