Hey guys!
I know a few of you on here are keen for a surf. (Ron, Andy) c'mon I know there is more of you out there....
Just wondering how the swell is going in your area?
Noosa was puming today thanks to Cyclone Grace. Nice and consistent 5 ft swell.
I'm loving this. Hopefully you guys are too!! Apparently tomorrow will be bigger....I'll be sitting on the shore for those thats for sure.

I haven't been able to surf up since moving down south, but 2 weeks ago i wen't for a surf at a beach called Colecliff on the south Coast and the waves where very consistent.....probably about 5-6 foot but breaking beautifully.

My favourite surf spots have always been Terrigal, Avoca & Cronulla :D

Im not to sure what the swell is at present??....but a week ago it was about 3-4 swells & what about Tasmania!!!..i heard the waves where between 12 -15 foot

Trust me Maldives has awsome surf, on the island iam not more than 5 minutes from pasta's a nice left, sultans long right hander and honkeys a real nice left which barrals in the inside. ;-)

If i take a boat with other aussie when there over we can also get to cola's and chickens, toombstones.

although it is starting to get prety crowded recently lots of sufari boats etc...
too many jap surfers, they travel in packs and swap the line up.

cheers

I grew up surfing on the northern beaches. when i was about in year 11 me and some guys from school went out and surfed manly bomby which is maybe half a kilometre out to sea off Queenscliff headland. It only ever breaks in massive swells. i got caught in the zone and copped a set of about 5 or so waves. it would of been no less than 12 foot and i was really inexperienced. honestly thought i was gonna die. have only surfed a couple of times since

I havent had a chance to get down the coast this week, Im hopin its still pumping on Thursday as im gonna skip uni and head down if it is. I went down to snapper rocks last Thursday, deadset dolphins all over the shop, got me a bit worried at first coz those things come flying towards you and look a lot like a shark. I love it when there are cyclones up there in FNQ! 8)

I do love the goldcoast, but rarley surf down there. Snappers rocks is becoming to crowded now days IMO. The Alley is always a fun day.

the rapids on the peel river leave alot to be desired.. worst river ever.
so not much surfing can be done here, but i can and do occasionally on holidays and stuff.

When they dredged Greenmount beach about 7 years ago, my kids were on the Shark Biscuits (body boards) on the standing waves that the dredger caused on the beach, similar to the rapids in a fast flowing creek.

The dredging guys would hunt them away, for fear they would get hurt and the fids would jump straight back in as soon as they went back to work.

And who said Snapper was "getting" crowded. It has been for ever.

That's why I head down the Tweed Coast or down to the Byron coast.
