AHAHAHAHA yeah riiight.

I was watching football loooong before you chump.

And you are italian don't try and hide it, you know you were cheering for them when they were playing us, even though your dumb arse was born here. Typical, maybe you should go back to italy and give them all your support.

Look at the scandals and violence and CHEATING italian football has been through, anyone with half knows the time, wether or not they were 'convicted' doesn't mean anything to me. They are cheating scum and I tell you what was one of the happiest moments in my life, 1994 baggio woooooooooooops over the bar suck it! HAHAHAHA

I just remember the look on this italian kids face at school, it was priceless!!:D

Bullsh1t. You're a blow in. You know f**k all. You can count the games you've watched on one hand.

I was going for Australia. But I was happy either way. I certainly don't care what you think either -- who are you to tell me what I am and who I should support? Do you realise how ridiculous that is?

W@nkstains like you are so filled up with bitterness, its laughable.

Bitter, bitter man. It's no good for you, just let go.

You've only ever posted mindless rubbish, thats why.

So how long have you been watching the game for then? Who do you follow?

In any case, I'm glad Italy gets on your nerves. Makes it all sweeter as there are many of you.

In my experience the only people who use the word 'twig' are people with 'issues' regarding their own sexual orientation.

But anyway, back to the topic at hand. It is a very interesting question, whether the current problems in Italy are social problems or a football problem.

I have just returned from a lengthy visit to Italy where I went to several footbal games including the Roma/Lazio derby. There are still many problems in the stadia. I was shocked that as a staunch Roma fan I paid for tickets in the Roma section of the tribuna, expecting a glass wall to separate me from the Laziale. In reality all there was were 4 Carabinieri with riot shields blocking a path and nothing else separating my seat from about 5000 bug-eyed burini all wanting Roma blood. It was actually quite scary.

I noticed a real section of society with massive axes to grind with the police, the government, the political system, and society. Football games were simply a place, a sort of forum, where their hatred could be vented. Their beefs seemed to mostly be about immigration, unemployment and the amount of bureucracy in every day life. They vented it other places too. But most of the fans were generally well behaved and friendly towards each other. It seemed to be about 10% who turned up with other agendas.

So based on that, I think more can be done to make stadia safer. A lot more. But I also think to call it a football problem and punishing clubs is like punishing the Cronulla Surf Club for the Cronulla riots, or blaming the Sharks because most of the rioters were fans. To do that is to miss the point completely.

since the 80's

and I was proudly one of the very few who followed Chelsea since 2 years after the formation of the Premier League, the year I started following a club side. I have my memoribilia, jerseys, scarves, match day programs from a mate dating back to the early 90's ect to prove it LOL plus about 20 other mates who support clubs like manure, pool, arsenal, newcastle, juventus, parma & tottenham that can vouch for me, if you like I would give you my mobile and we can ask each person individually? But untill you actually know the time I'd suggest you stfu.

and TBH the main reason I hate your rubbish team is the boring defensive mentality when they have great attacking players, a waste. And its been like that ever since I can remember.

plus they cheat, dive, rort and kill people. facts. ;)

Everyone has been a Chelsea fan pre-Abramovich.

Boring defensive mentality = myth. When is the last time you watched a game of Serie A? When is the last time you watched an Italy game excluding the WC?

More goals scored in Serie A than EPL - there is another fact for you.

And yes, you're a twat.

If you are going to try to be a smart ass and swear at someone in another language you should take the time to find out how to spell it.

Hybrid, I don't know why you are wasting your time with this toss pot.

SFA play down 'spy' claim

The Scottish Football Association have played down reports that a 'spy' filmed their latest training session ahead of Saturday's Euro 2008 clash with Italy.

A newspaper photographer captured images of a red-haired man apparently making a video of the players being put through their paces in Dumbarton.

He was quickly moved on after SFA staff were alerted to his presence, standing on top of a van to gain a good vantage point.

A spokesman for the SFA dismissed suggestions the observer had been working on behalf of the Italians.

He said: 'The session continued and ended as planned. There was no curtailment or abandonment of the session.

'There were a couple of guys working over the other side of the fence.

'They were actually from a car washing company, and neither of them were Italian.

'One of the men from the backroom staff spoke with them and confirmed they were not Italian.

'Our training session finished as normal, in fact our guys waved to them as they left.'

Scotland manager McLeish told the Daily Record: 'Don't worry, no secrets got out. We spotted some guys watching the session and, as it was supposed to be a closed-doors session, we simply weren't very happy about it.

'One of them was wearing sunglasses, a hooded jacket and holding a camera. we didn't think it was right so we told the players to stop and to give the guy a wave.'

He added: 'If it is the case the guy was sent to spy on us we would take that as a compliment.'

This is really low if it was an Italian official.

Good on the players and staff for waving at them and stating it was a compliment.

Fair enough

Italy was absolutely bloody fantastic. It was my first time and now I just want to do everything I can to get back there for another trip. Meeting family I didnt even know I had, being greeted by third cousins as though I was a long lost brother, seeing where my dad grew up and hearing stories about the stuff he got up to. You can't beat that stuff.

I hope the situation over there improves quick so they can get those games played for you. I went to 2, the derby, and to the home game vs Sporting. What an atmosphere.

Also saw a lower league game (Eccellenza) Latina vs Artena. This is the 6th tier of Italian football, the teams are only semi professional and yet they still had a crowd of over 1000 with ultras and everything. The quality of play was ok too, I mean an A-league side would have no trouble beating an Eccelenza team but even still. Great fun to watch. So I reccommend seeing a game like that as an interesting sociological and football learning experience.
