What age were you when you started following footy? Ever since i can remember

What club do you support? Panthers

Why do you support the club you support? Watched a game in 2000 where the Panthers trailed 31-8 against the Tigers in the second half. We stormed back to 31-30 after scoring a try in the corner. Girds was out that game so we had Hicks to kick a conversion from the sideline to win, it went straight over the black dot. We won 32-31. That day i began supporting the Panthers.

How many games would you attend a year? Approx 5-7

What makes rugby league better than any other game? I just love it

Have you/ will you introduce your children to rugby league? Definately

My thoughts....

What age were you when you started following footy? Officially 8 y.o. when I attended my first Winfield Cup game though I remember watching League on Tv with dad much earlier though could not give you an exact age hence why I will leave it at 8.

What club do you support? Brisbane Broncos

Why do you support the club you support? The first game I attended turned out to be the Broncos vs Manly in 1988 with my father...the rest is history. Allan Langer was a major reason as at 8 y.o. I made the comment there was a ball boy out there which turned out to be the great man...another reason is the clubs professionalism and the 'homely' feel when returning to the Leagues club to chat with Bronco fans.

How many games would you attend a year? 7+ with the majority being any chance I get to support the guys when playing down South in Sydney or Newcastle given I know live in the enemy state that being NSW  .

What makes rugby league better than any other game? The 'tribal' feelings amongst the supporters, the ever improving professionalism, the personalities, the media involved with League, the superb athletes being brought to us by clubs yearly...so many factors that make us better than anyother code which is too many too list. I will say this, when we get the international side of the game fixed, there will be League than daylight to any other major sporting code in Australia.

Have you/ will you introduce your children to rugby league? It's a certainty.

Do you think it's important to preserve the history and the culture of the game? Definately yes, though I will say this, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CHANGE if it means furthering the game forward putting us in a better position for the next 25 years +.

As for our history, I would like to think we all think this is important given we can learn from the former great players, coach's administrators and also learn from their past mistakes admin wise which will make our product better.

I feel it is important to continually develope NRL ideas like the HOF and put more money into those ventures as we do not want to ever forget past hero's who made our game what it is today.

Its just more exciting to watch I guess
I suppose so, bit far off to tell
Its good to have history and tradition but not at the expense of the game moving forwards

Sharks
Steve Rogers fan and continued to support the Sharks although I followed them in 1971 I wasnt as passionate until I admired his talent.
I dont go to many games due to illness but if the Sharks make the finals I journey on down to watch.
Fluency makes League the game it is. Stop/Start is Union and when there are heaps of errors in a game (of league) it generally brings down the standard of a game.
Kids already know about League. Brainwashed from birth. If they want to play League they can but they'll let me know.
Personally I dont give a hoot about tradition/culture whatever.
Alls I care about is the Sharks winning the next game. League is an entertainment business. Sure it has some good memories but you always chase better ones.

What club do you support? Parramatta

Why do you support the club you support? I grew up as a local, and one of the stars of the Eels at the time shared the same first name as me

How many games would you attend a year? 15

What makes rugby league better than any other game? Its not better necessarily. But the only similar sport is Union, which is slow and doesn’t require the same physical prowess. Therefore its uniqueness is what makes it appealing. However I contest that most passionate league supporter’s born in NSW would be AFL supporters if they had been born and raised in Victoria or SA. It is their passion, tribalism and desire to be apart of something that drives them to follow a contact sport so closely.

Have you/ will you introduce your children to rugby league? If it is still appears to have a future in 5 years, yes.

Do you think it's important to preserve the history and the culture of the game? It’s crucial to not only preserve it, but drum it in to people. Only by knowing history will supporters develop the passion that will keep the game rolling on and allow it to remain a mainstream sport in Australia.

Do you think it's important to preserve the history and the culture of the game? Yes. We need to remember the history of the game. It's great to hear and see of past great players.
