Did voters even get a say when the Victorian govt spent over hundred million improving a privately owned stadium ?
Well they didnt vote out the government unlike NSW, so yeah
internationals tourists visit Australia for Sydney then Gold Coast and qld in general

every else is irrelevant
your claiming the gold coast gets more international visitors than melbourne? lol

anyway this is off topic
the original claim was afl crowds are bigger because "theres nothing to do in melbourne" which stupid argument to start with aside any list of other major events for each city would prove wrong - and interantional tourism would make up a tiny percentage of either codes crowds anyway

the real reason is Sydney lack of supporter culture when it comes to memberships and crowds - again see brisbane nrl crowds for proof of this, nothing that cant be overcome, just needs a bit of effort and ingenuity from the nrl and sydney clubs to build up and sustain an attendance culture

There is still a long way to go for NRL with the AFL covering the whole of Australia, yet the NRL only covers the East Coast of Australia. Plus AFL crowd numbers tower over NRL crowd numbers as well, even though TV ratings are practically the same.
Tv ratings are not the same. Ours are much higher.

Ignore the old troll
honestly pr makes this forum amusing

given his lack of knowledge of rugby league pre 2005 ish he’s an easy target

he keeps trying to wish the nrl was something it’s not and never will be and the whining is amusing

ever heard of constructive criticism?
blindly thinking you can do no wrong and coming up with bullshit excuses for everything isnt a great way to ensure continued growth an success

would be great to see us continue to build on the current success and not just think "oh this is good hope it stays"

Sorry what are you referring to? Where are my bullshit excuses mate. I’ve simply said the games going gangbusters and stated PR is a misery guts. Both statements are self evident truths.

was more a response in general not directly at you

and you have to remember he's a pom, whining comes naturally, he's actually not that bad comparatively
a lot of the stuff he says generally are areas it would be great to see the game improve in, especially using the current success as a building block to do this

Fair enough but you can see my confusion. As for PR. Absolute ball of misery. I enjoy your posts by the way. Don’t always agree but a good read.

The current success was achieved by doing things he didn’t agree with by a leader he can’t stand lol
