Walls always sounds like he has a beef with any and every side when commentating. I actually thought he was harder on the Saints last night though.

Agree 100% but what made me laugh there was "That old guy commentating"

 good to see after more than 20 years those Sydney rats still know nothing about the history of our game.

For the record bandwagon jumper.... That old guy is one of the games great coaches ...

And Melbourne people know nothing about the history of ours or, for that matter, supporting ours. We come out to your game:)

haha well u should always underestimate the Raiders, then its less disapointing, but the Swans are capable of winning, so at least stay positive!
Can't believe u put money on St Kilda, i wanna see $10 goin on the Swans next weekend!

We've only had a team in your comp for 8 years and I'd hazard a guess to say Melbourne people know as much about League as Sydney do footy. :)

If Eddie McGuire couldnt get Jason Cloke to play in the 2002 grand final, what chance do Sydney have of getting Barry Hall off?

You are seemingly forgetting that the number 1 KPI for members of the AFL commission is to do everything possible to ensure a Sydney premiership.

In all my negative posts about Sydney though, I should make it clear that even though I think they are on their way to winning this years premiership with by far and away the weakest team (Richmond led this team by nearly 50 points in the 3rd quarter a few months back) in many years to get that honour ..... They thoroughly deserved their win last night.

Unlike Richmond the Swans have been able to play good competitive football for most of the season unlike 1 or 2 quarters a season like the Tigs ;-)

Thanks for pointing that out, that is true circa 1996 with Andrew Dunkley.
The AFL truly want to make it a national competition and what better way than for South Melbourne errr Sydney to win.

Have to admit though sydney are my long second Fav team behind the mighty hawks. Hawks will be looking good for a flag in 2007!

I'm sure Kev will agree with me here ..... Even if the Hawthorn kids are good enough to scale those heights, 2007 is too early. Especially with another 2 (minimum) top liners this year .... 2008-2009 will be when they come into their peak.

I strongly beleive that over that period we'll see some epic battles between Richmond/Footscray/Hawthorn in September.

So long as all three teams can cover for the fact that their best players (Richo/Everit/Crawford/Grant) are not likely to be taking the field by that point.

You could be right there, maybe i got a little too excited because it has been a long time between drinks

I love how they are going with this youth policy.
Might add a couple of teams to that list of Hawthorn, Footscray and Richmond in Carlton and Collingwood. These will be the top 5 teams in a few years.

I truly believe Everitt has got at least another 2-3 years left in him.
He was superb this year in the ruck and floating up forward.
The other 3 are long shots to be playing in a couple of years.

Wouldn't discount Sydney either plenty of young players that have the potential such as Luke Ablett,Luke Vogels,LRT,Paul Bevan etc
