Great news except....he gives Mary a glowing endorsement all the time...not so great
I wish they would stop introducing Millward with his full club title because
1. It so long and hard to remember for the clubs media guy
2. Sleepy by the end of it
Just had to say it!
you feel better now

Well done Tariq you have reproduced the form that you showed when you come onto the scene. You are up there with the elite back rowers in the game.

Awesome news.... .Unfortunately the statement did not age well... Particularly this part

Dragons roster manager Ian Millward said Sims’ retention was crucial as they assembled their 2019 squad.

“He’s a real leader and will be a great mentor for some of our young players,” Millward said.

He’s also a very crucial piece of the jigsaw, locking him in long-term, along with (Jack) de Belin, (Tyson) Frizell, (Paul) Vaughan and (James) Graham.

Great news. Hope his enthusiasm means he got a fair deal but without demanding overs.
Very important to have an enforcer in your forwards and TS is the best.
One of my favourite memories is his encounter with Conrad Hurrell of the Titans where Conrad got hammered repeatedly after getting aggressive with Tariq, Always makes me chuckle.

I wonder if we could go back & find those who thought he was a dud when he first came to the Dragons mid season. Egg on their face & probably happy about it .LOL
Next will be the Norman haters.

That was the day he pumped his chest in front of us on the sideline instantly becoming my daughters fav.

As a person that was anti the TS purchase I have long ago stated my error in that assessment and am glad we have secured his services for the next 3 years.
Well done recruitment that was very good news shame about the rest of the day.
Sorry OT just read this post after my latest post, wasn't pin pointing any one person, just a general memory at the time.

Sims' good deed that two young fans will 'never forget'

Tariq Sims is a brute enforcer on the field, but has a heart of gold off it.

Just a day after it was reported that Corey Norman gave a young fan a lift home from the footy on Thursday night, a similar story has emerged surrounding the Dragons and NSW Blues back-rower.

Sims and the team were stopped at McDonalds on the way to Wollongong from Newcastle, and he was recognised in line by two young fans.

He chatted with them and got to know them in the line, before he told them to put their wallets away and paid for their meals in full.

If that wasn’t enough, he waited with the fans until they received their food, said goodbye and headed back to the team bus.

The parents of the fans reached out to Instagram page Clarkey’s NRL Column to tell them the story, saying that her boys will never forget it.

The article states he was travelling from Newcastle to Wollongong.
Looks like the rest of the team must live in Newcastle too..

Sims and the team were stopped at McDonalds on the way to Wollongong from Newcastle

Either that, or they must have had some mysterious reason to all be in Newcastle..

Is Brownie trying to poach them all?

Do they all just love Nobby’s Beach?

Or perhaps there was some kind of football match played between sides based in Newcastle and Wollongong?

Dunno.. smells fishy to me..
