You aren't going to bother because you are cleary wrong? ;-)

Let's say this, the whole point of this argument was how Lavea was a better Union first-five than Ai'i. And like how you have contradicted yourself, how come Ai'i wasn't called up as the replacement for Carlos but Lavea was? Oh yes good on you Murphdog90210, blame the entire Chiefs' loss to Lavea. After all it seems reasonable doesn't it?

Lavea can't kick or run? I guess you haven't watched any of last year's NPC then. How come he was singled out by Henry and Rush last year, as the key to Auckland winning the NPC Championship?

Evans is untested at first-five? He played nearly a whole season at 10 for North Harbour last year and was the form first-five of the NPC. But according to you, Orene Ai'i is the experienced veteran aye.... :|

Come on guys -we're off the track and keep your ra-ra sh*t off this forum!

Don't like it, don't read it. :?

This thread was about league, before Murphdog1234 over here started saying Orene Ai'i is a champion of Rugby Union. ;-)

he is a champion u fool

I said the games after Carlos got injured lavea was shit not the Chiefs game like against the Reds when we lost something like 30-3 -

Almost one season of 5/8 is nothing!!! Ai'i has been playing 5/8 for Auckland since 99

If Evans is soo good then why did the Blues pick Ai'i instead for the blues then???

and u said that i started this!!!

How ??? please?

i said

Yeh good call Ray i think he would be a more than decent league halfback

Interestingly enough, the Auckland NPC side are trying to groom Orene to play halfback in Union. Playing him at halfback for the Blues could potentially be great because hes got so much natural talent.

so what are u saying? he doesnt have natural talent???

then u said

Playing Orene Ai'i in any position in a rugby team is a liability....

So actually u started it u moron!

Neither Lavea, Ai'i or Evans made it into the Blues 24 initially selected. So the trio went into the draft, and the Highlanders picked up Nick Evans ahead of the Blues could. So good of you to say Evans wasn't picked for the Blues, but you still ignore the truth that Nick Evans was picked in the All Blacks as a "fullback-cum-wing-cum-first-five".

Ai'i has been playing for Auckland since 1999 aye? Really? Where did Spencer play? ;-)

Hell, even my little brother has "natural talent". ;-)

I stated the fact that Orene Ai'i is a liability.

But who cares, afterall, this Murphdog90210 is also the one who thinks Orene Ai'i is a better first-five than Aaron Mauger (All Black trialist).

Spencer went to the World Cup in 99 so thats where he was

in 2000 from memory they played Aii on the wing cos Cashmore was fullback]

In terms of Evans, if he is sooooo good then howcome last Saturday they put a rookie (Rico Gear) on the wing when they could have played Mils on the wing and Evans at fullback??

Yeh well if Mauger was playing behind Carlos the whole Super 12 i dont think he would make the trial either

Carlos? Ai'i? Evans?

These names you speak of are foreign to me ... :?

Is it something to do with a minor game at the Cake-tin this weekend?

Mauger had to play behind Dan Carter, Andrew Mehrtens and Cameron McIntyre - what are you talking about?

You said Ai'i has played 10 for Auckland since "1999". Well, what about last year? Or even the year before?

If Ai'i is so good, how come he wasn't even in the All Blacks? They wanted to play Gear on the wing, and Muliaina at fullback, because they knew Howlett was coming back this weekend, so it would have made sense for Muliaina to get some fullback-game time before he started the Tri-Nations.

Oh what ? like Muliaina would forget how to play fullback?

If Ai'i played a full year of Super 12 he would have the All Blacks as well.

And by your logic everyone who made the All Blacks is good, so are u saying that someone like Mark Mayerhofler is better at his position than someone like Lauaki?

First of all - you know jack about rugby.

Mayerhofler and Lauaki play different position.

Well it just says a bit doesn't it - Ai'i can't even make a starting S12 side! Ha! So much for Ai'i is a champion aye. Speak to any rugby union fan, and everyone will think you are a twit.

Mr Murphy1234,

Mr Graham Henry said it himself it would wise to give Mils some game time at the fullback.

If you are going to argue against this comment, I can't be f**ked in even debating this point against you.

u dumbass i know they play different positions i was comparing how much better they are than there competitors

to make it simpler for u u jackass

Lauaki v Rush

The All Black is Rush but as we saw on saturday the better player is Lauaki

Its not any achievement to make the Highlanders starting side, they have no depth

Its a lot harder to get past the best provincial backline in the world than get into the shithouse highlanders backline

Graham Henry did say that when he was explaining his selections.

Rush and Lauaki played different positions in the Test, this again shows your limited knowledge of rugby. Go to www.thesilverfern.com/forum.htm, and try and put your opinions there, and I'm sure no will even take care of what dribble you speak out.

I'm not wrong, I just can't be seriously stuffed in explaining myself infront of a 5 year old who obviously thinks Ai'i is the best in NZ because Ai'i signed his little ball. And someone who thinks Ai'i would be an All Black if he played one full season of S12. ;-)

The Blues don't have the best provincial backline in the world, the Brumbies do.

You say Ai'i is the man, alright then. Say Ai'i did move elsewhere, what other "NZ S12 backline" would he make? And at what position?

didnt u see Lauaki smoke Rush on the outside????

and i know they play different positions in that game but Lauaki played almost all of his S12 rugby at 8 for the Chiefs

Aii would make the Highlanders as a 5/8-Your precious Evans plays fulback

He would make the Chiefs as a 5/8

And he would make the Hurricanes as a 5/8

I am not saying he is the best player in NZ i am purely refuting your outrageous claims that he is a liability
