TC's OPEN to telecast WCC match against Bradford

It's been announced on the PI site that TC's will DEFINITELY be open
for any Panther fans wanting to watch the WCC match.

You can buy drinks, but other gaming sections of the club will closed due
to govt regulations.

I know it's on at 5 am in the morning, but I'm seriously thinking about
going to the club to watch it if enough of my mates are willing to be out
and about at such an ungodly hour.

As suggested before, I think we should have our get together on the Saturday night at Panthers, and just stay there for the match. I think if we all have enough sleep the night before, we should manage to pull through.

Would be a top night I reckon!

Hi Mel,

The WCC match is on February 14th at approximately 5 am Sydney time.

We were talking earlier about having a Panther fan get together on the night of the
13th at Panthers, and see if we had the stamina to see the night right through and
stay on to watch the footy match in the morning.

I'm still willing to try if everyone else is. Maybe we could get special permission to
fall asleep for a quick nap with our heads on the tables to refresh ourselves for
the game, without the bouncers throwing us out. :mrgreen:

The match is set down for Saturday the 14th, with a 6pm kick off.

That would approximately equate to 5am Sunday morning here.

Well, you all have me confused now, because you all seem positive that it
is the 14th over there and the morning of the 15th here, but this was just
posted on the PI site this morning by R Weaver in response to someone
asking what day and time the WCC match is on.

And you would assume that he had checked his facts before he posted this.

It'll be on Saturday morning, Feb 14 our time (Friday 13th there). Don't know the exact time but at the moment they are 11 hours (I think) behind us, which means if it starts at 7.30pm there it will be 6.30am here.

I went back to the WCC thread I (well, under my old name of roofromoz) started about a month back, with the article from the UK Superleague site...

The 2004 Rugby League World Club Challenge will see Bradford Bulls take on Penrith Panthers at Huddersfield's McAlpine Stadium on Friday 13 February.

So, Rob Weaver is actually right. I was wrong. :roll:

Now that we have worked that one out. 5.00 Saturday morning. I will meet you all around 3.30am after i have had a nap to keep my energy in superb condition for the 5.00 am start!

Seriously...for me that is what i will do because i will need to organise my kids to stay with my mum & dad for the Friday night/Saturday Morning. Figured since i will be there may as well get a few hours sleep before making my way onto the club to partay again!!!

oh so its not on the 13th over here... damn thats my birthday i thought i was gonna be able to watch it on my bday but i spose its better if its the 14th because the 13th is a friday so its black friday.... :shock:
