Glad someone but me is puzzled about this
Goddell apparently ruled the hit was fair, for the life of me, i cant see how
McNabb had the ball in hand, once he crossed the plain its a TD, you cant undo that with a fumble after he's in the end zone, it was a late dog shot and a QB is has a broken rib because of it.

I thought the NFL were all about protecting the QB's
I mean we have a ridiculous driving penalty against the Pats on Monday night which costs them a 3rd down stop, and we have a couple of O liners diving in late and thats fine :?

Then it's horribly inconsistent - how many times have we seen a DB take a pick and do the "Hercules" pose? Or a DT get a sack and jump around "woohooing" and high-fiving his mates? And I don't blame them - make a big play and you have every right to celebrate imo.

I see your point about a DB getting an INT and dancing around or a DE getting a sack but I think it’s more like scoreboard pressure and the undisputable fact that 6 points have been scored. The INT or sack could result in any number of outcomes.

You're right, mate.

I guess I just love the machismo and showmanship of it all. I love watching the NFL, period - even though I'm an Oakland fan, I could watch any number of teams play and be happy.
