I 1000% agree but you know aob is gonna put cogger in there & drive us all mad

I dunno tbh. He said before the game Fletcher was locked in for 6 and he was weighing up 2 players for the 7 (presumably Cogger and Gamble). I think Cogger had the running before this game but Gamble was definitely better.

2 tries from 2 blatant forward passes.

The NRL are right on brand, even in the trials.
The score doesn't matter too much mate. It's been an educational evening! I think some of the second half guys have really pressed their claims. Arthur made his presence felt and I see him in first grade before long for sure. 3 blokes did themselves no favours at all and probably plaued themselves out of contention - Pryce, Hastings and Cogger.

Unless we start to see some real improvement from Pryce it wont be long till he's passed by Votrano & others in the pecking order

Maybe I'm missing something but I thought Hastings ball-playing through the middle and spreading the ball out wide helped our attack. That short ball to Su'a was poor though.

Didn't see much from Votano to be fair either. He has youth on his side though, and wouldn't be costing us as much as Pryce. Pryce's days are 100% numbered, the improvement we needed from him isn't forthcoming.

I’m not too disappointed about that tbh. The score blew out at the end when we had our FG players off. I don’t think it tells us how we’ll go in 2025 either positively or negatively.

My major disappointments were Cogger and Pryce’s defence.

I was really happy with Brailey, Sharpe and Gamble.

Pros
Frizzell looks a beast in the middle. Good move.
KPP looking for the offload on every carry, another good move.
Brailey looking slimmer and more mobile? Hope he can stay fit all season.
Sharpe looking Sharp.
Arthurs looks a better hooker than Crossland. Don't know if he is a better player overall but it was good to see someone who knows how to play the position get a go.
Marzhew looks solid.
Probably missing some stuff.
Gamble is a player we need in the 13 week in week out. Isn't the most polished player but he isn't going to die wondering.

Cons
Cogger and Hastings. The debate is over.
Jacko needs to step up. If JSaf and Leo are injured for long periods, it's going to be horrible for us.
Defense and attitude overall.

Only a trial but more negatives than positive. We got pounded by the wooden spooners.
