Apparently we were trying to move Cogger on in the off season but the Dolphins wouldn’t take him. Hopefully that’s a sign AOB isn’t too wrapped in him and there’s a chance he won’t be the 7.

Confused why he started at 7 if he is in the outer
Shopping him around. Get to show off his goods. Pity it backfired lol.

Whats everyone's thoughts on Sean O'Sullivan?? Ain't a star but I reckon he would be a good fit in our spine. Won't take up much cap and just has to steer the ship around.

SOS is a solid half that rarely let's the team down. He's not flashy or fast but will do the job that's required of him while others around him provide the polish.

He's basically what Hastings was before the horrific lower leg injury minus the abrasive personality

Makes sense to sign him if you ask me. Much better value than Brown. Looks like we are trying to mold Sharpe into a Brown clone anyway.

1. Ponga
6. Sharpe
7. Gamble
9. Brailey
14. Crossland/Arthur

Not terrible but definitely a bottom 8 spine. I love myself some Gamble but he needs more ice in his veins. When it comes down to the wire he always seems to kick it a metre dead or make the wrong pass.

Yeah, that's the best we have right now. Unfortunately, I doubt AOB agrees.

More so than ever, we cannot afford injuries this year.

SOS is absolutely no comparison to Brown.

Id probably look at Volkman before SOS.

Tbh though, I think we need to get rid of some halves before bringing in more that aren’t going to move the needle enough either. I’d definitely still take a crack at Brown but to me rushing out to sign someone like a SOS is just adding to the cap $$$ we already have wrapped up in halves that might not play FG.

The people I know at WESTS feel the Toohey view regarding Brown being loosely interested are not actually the case. He is actually still strongly considering it. He understandably wants to know what the long term goals with recruitment are. Does not want to come here and be left to run the show by himself ie. KP’s future plans

Hastings will be gone end of the year.

Gamble and Cogger are depth. (just)

Brown is a must signing at 6 and I'd go for a Te Maire Martin at 7.

If we are chasing brown to play 6, I don’t see the value of putting sharpe there for an entire season

We’re probably not actually going to sign Brown, and started looking at Sharpe there before it was even known he was testing the market.
