Well you've gained my interest. Please let me know the team you would put on the field that would be competitive. If that team contains players like Latimore, Aitken, Rava and does not contain new blood like Saab, Timm, Kerr then it is a wate of time. I happen to believe Mary will select the waste of time team and thus the reason to start to sort out the dead wookd and test the young hopefuls.
The answer isn't making wholesale changes every time we lose.
It isn't the players, its the culture, the belief, the passion.
This year we are nowhere because we lack the desire and coaching smarts.
Bringing in reserve graders like the mob you have suggested will only lose us more games.
Ive said it over the past couple of years, if we have a team that starts Field we are in all sorts of trouble.

Spot on Crush, the problem is a cultural one and revolves around commitment, desire and self belief. You listen to the best players and they all say the same thing, they couldn't stand losing. Its not even about wanting to win, its about no matter what the score is or who's off injured they just dont want to give up because losing hurts so much. Part of that cultural problem is discipline, which I believe is lacking.

A bit from left centre, but I think right at the moment for the next couple of years we need a coach like Anthony Griffin. I think there are some heads that need to be deflated and a bit of fear of the coach and losing reinstated before we can move on.

For a long time now I have felt that some players who earn good money believe playing football each week is their profession, sometimes you win sometimes you lose. No big deal losing is not what is wanted but it comes with the job.

Under Bennett in 200910 and the first half of 2011, our NRL players learned to work for each other and be responsible primarily for their assigned jobs as laid out by the coach. A mistake was letting your fellow players down. There was a culture of not letting your team mates down.
