Ozzie, I'm not saying this for everyone to go ohhhh Deb you have to play. But I honestly believe that Morticia and you deserve a run instead of me. I'm happy to go 1st reserve. In fact I'm proud to just be in the team.

This isn't about ego, I don't need a run in the GF, and anything that I intended to prove when I joined the comp has been done so three fold. To me, both you and Morticia are better writers full stop. Your marks are always higher than mine full stop. Morticia I don't want to embarrass you or put any pressure on you, but I think your all class and I think that you deserve a spot before me. Please say you'll play, because I beleive sincerely that you'll get a higher score than me.

Cat as for you, to be thrown into this and your first post achieving such a high score is testimony to your writing skills. And don't start with - I'm new yahdah yahdah. It's not about that. It's about representing Easts. It's about being proud Sons and Daughters of our fantastic club. I also beleive that your a better writer than me.

All five of you are capable of 9's and I think we should forget sentimentality or niceties and run with the crew who are more likely to achieve the highest score.

Of course if anyone has genuine reasons for being unable to play, then I will give it my all.

Oz and the Team I am more than happy to watch this one from the sidelines...proud to have helped the Team get to the Grand Final.

We need our best side for the Grand Final and thats it!!!

Penelope it all depends on mortica if she is available other wise I take her place and your in...remmeber its a team effort that got us this far and its a team effort which will hopefully take us over the line..if not i can't be any more prouder of a team as i am at the moment

I am humbled with the news of my selection for the GF. I feel honoured to be able to play a small part in your success this year.

I shall keep a vigilant eye out for the next round and start working on my post. Some ideas have already come to mind.

i'd like to put my hand up for the roosters as a reserve for the grand final.

I know this would probably be unexpected, but as the grand final may be 7 v 7, or even 5 v 5, i'd like to put my availablity down, i've got an article that i wrote for the grand final should Penrith have made it, but we didn't.

But i thought, geez, bugger it i may as well ask.

Mick, what a sportsman you are. I'm sure ozzie will contact yourself about this and I'm not sure what the rules are. All I can say is that I would be proud to run out along side you next year if the Panthers struggle for a side or you want to join a team where you don't have to worry about loyalty. 8)

Guys - I can't play this GF. I seem to write my crappiest articles when the pressure is on as evidenced by one of my lower marks in the game just gone. I'm a liability in big games - oh god, I'm a walker. :-&

Ozzie, I think Morticia will play. There looks to be an article brewing from the type of articles and books lying around the house.

I just thought if your struggling to get 7 v 7 for the grand final, i'd love to play for you guys.

I don't expect anything, i don't expect to be part of the team if you should win the grand final. you know, when they send out certificates and the like. I just want to be part of the grand final. I've got an article ready for use, so if you need me, i'm available for the roosters.

:shock: :shock: :shock: That would certainly surprise me, and I fail to see how it's within the rules. But if it is, I say what the heck, let's give him a go (bench, starting, whatever. If he wants to be there, he can be there)

As for this Grand Final. It is my last hurrah in the Roosters colours.

ozzie, I think it's fantastic. I could say - thanks for sharing that with us - but then I sound like a long haired, do good hippie. ;-) So I'll just go with - it's a story that many relate to. Mine might see me not too popular. I've been waiting for the last round of this season to post it, so I can retire in peace having said my peace. 8)

BP - when i wrote that article I was feeeling real low, I have been stting on the article for two months now wondering whether to post it or not -because when I wrote it, it was the 35th anniversary of my fathers death...when your 18 and lose a mate it hurts - still does..

I didn't know he was that sick - I had a feeling he wasn't well but then again - he just went quicly..not like a lot
