I can only imagine what it's like. Smurf (Morticia) lost her mother at a youngish age due to the results of a drunk driver and that was pretty devastating for her. It's the abruptness of the death - like yourself. It begs the question of better to have known and worried or not. If anything can come from it - you had some great times and shared some experiences that you may not have wanted to had you known he was sick. I'm humbled by your story as I am by many human behaviours and experiences.

On a brighter note - you better start advertising....

Wanted - one best damn third reserve known to humankind. Must post regardless of ailments, afflictions, alternative things happening in life. Must have no sense of humour and be a complete pain in the arse but kind of likeable to a point. Please apply in the Roosters forum....

Hmmmm. I know what you mean. I've got some of the refs sussed as to what they like and what they don't. But Mystique is still a bit of an unknown entity - but I have a theory.

We scored quite well last game she marked as we put some opinion etc in, not just clinical and factual. Might be a go. So, no worries for me - mine will be all opinion. :shock: Morticia will struggle with her penchant for education rather than opinion but you'll be fine.

No intention to bring the game into disrepute by discussing referee's. We're discussing stratedgy. :mrgreen:

Hmm, I may have to look over previous weeks and games that Mystique has refereed in.

Ozzie, you've got us off to a fantastic start in my opinion.

BP, your post might not be too popular? Do I sense a Rooster-bagging post coming up?

If Mystique is one that prefers opinionated posts, I may have to scrap my current post and use it next season. But any idea's on what I should be opinionated about? So far I've claimed Trent Barrett is the most uninspiring captain to have played the game, Billy Slater solely destroyed the Sharks fragile minds and season within the opening weeks of the premiership, Justin Hodges should be suspended for the season and Comissioner Hall was doing a terrible job, the Bulldogs got off lightly and Roosters were lucky not to be stripped of their title from last year, the Roosters are doomed to failure over the next decade, and that Andrew Johns is the most over-rated player in League. So basically, I'm out of ideas for an opinionated article. But all it's taken in the past is 1 small comment to get me started.

Anyone got anything that may trigger an opinionated idea within my head like at least every 2nd article I've posated? :? :? :? All I've got is factual based one ready to fire off.

Ozzie that was a great article I had a feeling that it was going to have a sad ending......I also lost my dad to Cancer when I was about 24 on my 1st Wedding Anniversary so I know how you would have felt....even all these years later it still feels the same....somethings always missing.

Great article Oz thanks for sharing your story with us I enjoyed reading it and still have a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat...great work mate.

It's getting there and if I finish it, I will post it myself. I'm talking about the other article I wrote and posted in the Penrith game thread here.
