i think next he will put Daine Laurie at fullback or maybe galloway... why wouldnt that suprise me
Sheens really has lost the plot:crazy:, fair dinkum the bloke seriously is a Nutjob , we have one stand out for fullback and he's f**king around wasting valuable trial's time on his geniused experiments :(. OOOh but he is the Australian coach he must be good :sarcasm: I think we have the talent at the club to have a competitive season but these sort of dumb braindead selections must really screw with the players minds and totaly root their moral. We neednt have to have a long unsucessful season BUT i think Tim FarkedHArd Sheens is going to turn it into one yet again. I was so exited about 09 starting but im already depressed thinking about the crap he has instore for the team in the months ahead.

FFS its a trial match against poor oppostion. Everyone was whinging about not having a fullback and now everyone is settled on Gallant after less then a handful of first grade games from last season? I'm sure sheens has given both the Shannons plenty of notice that they will not be needed in this game, and who knows, Moltzen may have something left to prove yet. What im trying to say is the decision is not as brain dead as some of you brain dead fans think it may be. Gallant IS NOT a proven first grader yet so why not give someone else a chance to prove themselves at fullback. We missed a round of trials last week, scan back and see how many different combinations each NRL team had used to their previous weeks team.

With Payten to come onto the bench for round one the rest of the team looks pretty much logical. Lets face it, at this stage of the year Morris is our best option at 5/8 and showed pretty good trial form.

Well how else could one go about totally rooting their moral?

If ever there was a phrase that's worth coining...

Did anyone see Moltzen at no1 in the u20's last year. He was average and thats being kind, had no idea of postional play and got smashed on 99% of his kick returns. Also Sheen said last year he had the longest kicking game in the club, well thats a myth of the same magnatude of junior burgers so called pace.

I have a open mind on Hanbury, some people I know really rate him but no way Moltzen at one although I think the Aussie coach Teflon has shown his hand for round one a couple weeks early.

The only reason Gallant hasn't had time to cement a First Grade spot is a bloke called Brett Hodgson.

Anyone who has seen Shannon Gallant play for Wests Premier League over the past few years knows how good he is and he did nothing to hurt that opinion when he took over when Hodgo was injured. He was carving up almost weekly in PL and I reckon he'll score plenty if he's our Fullback. His defence is fine, I think Sheens' problem is with his height.

Oh, and Morris is sh*t in the halves. Pure, unadulterated sh*t.

He offers nothing apart from his defence. In attack he murders overlaps and his short kicking game is as good as Luke Bailey's.

We need to keep the ball out of his hands. Let Robbie and Benji set the plays up and tell Morris to go help an old woman in the crowd with her knitting when we have the ball.

He's a back-up Hooker.

Thanks EA and super coach, they were bloody good answers from a couple of brain dead supporters;-).. Seems Palms is the only genius here., maybe teflon could sign him up to cover while he is away coaching the Roo's.

Always amazes me when someone backs Morris up. Makes me think it's Morris himself, or Sheens, because you just can't have watched Morris since he came to the Tigers and think he's a halves arsehole...

I know he'll be our starting 5/8 and deep down I really hope he does the business, but I simply don't think the ability is there.

Even if Morris has one leg, he is better than our other options in the second half position.

No.

He is an average Hooker but a woefully inadequate half. And I'm only basing that on the time he has spent at our club where he has less try assists than he has fingers and toes.

Who has Sheens given a go at 5/8 in the trials besides Morris?

It's already decided and we're stuck with him at 5/8.

Moltzen and Lawrence. Moltzen is an option - but a worse one than Morris.

A pregnant Glenn Air with webbed feet, no hands and his eyes poked out would be better than what Lawrence dished up when moved in. I've never seen someone look so ordinary on a FG football field. Ever.

ive never got the hype around moltzen, the bloke played what 8 games last year? he only looked good in about a 10 minute spurt against the cowboys. apart from that he was average, and at fullback he was terrible.

his biggest problem is he just doesnt seem to get involved, he seems happy standing around letting the others take control. when he does do something he has shown some glimpses, althought tiny, of actually being........well.........not crap.
