In the distinct and fervent hope that I have egg on my face in a couple of months, I am going to say this:

Ryles is Kearney mk 2….and I had such high hopes

I dont think you can compare the 2 at all..

Kearney jumped in when the club was going through alot of internal crap and unfortunately for him everyone wanted quick success without change..

Ryles has cleaned house it's going to take time for everything to fall in place and unfortunately you sound like you are impatient.

People are comparing to Ciraldo but you can't as Gus had a head start.

So Russell back in for Samrani - Ryles trying out all the combos with Lomax prior to Simonssen being fully match fit for selection? And not unexpected that a youngster gets some time downstairs in Cup to embed and develop what he's learnt in a couple of NRL games.

Williams-Paulo-Offa-Doorey front row rotation not unexpected, probably the best we have to select at present. Same logic re Tuivaiti getting Cup time (and more minutes) after a couple of top level games to embed and further develop ready for his next NRL bench stint.

And I guess Keir next on the list to get exposure to some NRL bench time for a week or two, until maybe Matto, Cartwright or others are ready for selection again.

I am surprised, perplexed and disappointed with that 17...
For mine Russell doesn't deserve back in
Joe O and Keir should not be there either.
Samrani doesn't deserve the chop.
If anything he should be on the bench as he can cover backrow and outside backs.
You can move lane to prop if need be.
Papalli should've got a call up ahead of Russell.
Tuivati unlucky but I get it...but you're almost rewarding poor performers by playing someone like Joffa ahead of him.
If anything the same 17 shouldve been selected...
Will be interesting to see if that 17 runs out

I'd love to understand how you have reached this conclusion already.
Has he said "the lads" yet?
Moonface was clueless. Rylesy is at least far more articulate...the similarities are there performance wise thus far but I do feel JR has more to offer.
I do remember when moonface was there we had some absolute resolute defence but couldn't score points.
We lost so many games by less than 6 or 8 points..there was sweet fa in attack

If it wasn't at Brookvale I'd be more confident after last weeks improved effort against the Doggies. Just cant see a win yet unless Manly shit the bed.
