Disagree.

We have been kissed on the pecker. We will play in the grand final. Draws opened up.

The big boys we avoid. This is about the best outcome one could hope for. Softest possible draw.
If you looked at Odds before ball was kicked this weekend Cowboys and Canberra where two longest.

We win both. If we didn't it would go down as one of the biggest chokes we've had.

disagree. We’ll struggle with our 15 players up north in the heat. Bryce and Nrown will still be under done and not provide much.

Meh. Prior to last night Cwoboys had not beat a top 8 since since rnd 11 which was Storm who missed Hughes and Nelson.
They did beat up Penrith NSW CUP side.
Sharks just did silly things and the reefs didn't help them. Some odd calls

My dream is 13-12 over Penrith.

Anyhows people complaining about Canberra and Cowboys. Much better then Storm,Souths, Penrith,Roosters.

Sharks I feel have far better ball players also and can slice you up. Cowboys attack is easier to read. Both sides play hot potato shit and conceeded 30 points.

I agree we’ve gone over to the easier side of the draw but I was hopeful of the sharks winning last night to avoid NQ.

you’re forgetting one thing thou. We’re the parramatta eels where we capable of f^*king things up ourselves. Our obstacles have become a little easier to overcome but we can easily be ambushed next Friday.

That's a really interesting take on it. And you could be right. I just have a horrible feeling Jack Wighton will make Waqa look like a school kid.

u can only play what’s in front of you. They’ve had a successful season and their defense is impressive. Can’t believe you’re taking them lightly.

Anyway, we still need to beat raiders.

We will play then at night if progress
Temp will be most likely very low 20s by kick off. I won't accept humidity as our excuse

Let's hope the past 8 years playing in Darwin pays off.

There is a quirky stat though with Darwin every year we haven't won in Darwin since taking a game there we made top 4.

2017, 2020, 2022.

Didn't play there in 2020 due to covid but made top 4.

Waqa not a winger can't catch bomb

We will go out next week and prob won't score a try

I agree re now being on the weaker side of the draw, and we should beat the Raiders next week, but disagree re the Cowboys, they are 9 and 3 at home this year, and have won eight of their last nine there. And now of course conditions are getting warmer, I'd wager no merkin wants to take the trip to Townsville.

Looking at the odds right now the Cowboys have moved in to $5.00, that makes them 2nd behind the Panthers. I reckon if the Roosters win today they'll probably firm into second, or at worst third. Anyways, making the prelim and getting it in Townsville, and knowing that they'll face either us or the Raiders is why they've firmed up in the betting. Regardless of who they play, they'll go into the final as favourites.

Sharks win would have been potentially far better for our campaign, no travel and a neutral venue and yesterday showed us not a lot between them and the Cowboys.

I also have mixed feelings about playing the Raiders vs playing the Storm, I don't know that the Storm posed too much threat to us this year, they are not the side right now they once were, and despite our performance Friday night, I still reckon we are in a better place this year than we have been in the previous few finals series.

If we beat Canberra we will go into the game against Cowboys as favourites. It may open 1.90 each but by kick off we will be favourites.

If we lost to Canberra BA HAS TO BE TERMINATED

We've also backed up a loss with a win every time this year, and some of those performances have been pretty impressive, so as much as we can and have shit the bed, we can also put on a performance good enough to beat any team.

But yeah, the road trip is not the greatest outcome.

Sharks / cowboys completed at 80% and 82%….both conceded 5 tries and missed 52 / 40 tackles….

Eels can definitely choke next week (but is unacceptable)…but our performance against the panthers is better then it appears…

let’s hope we beat raiders to find out…

Wow pretty impressive by @hindy111 you’d have to agree.

I guess his downfall was thinking storm beat roosters second last round and we make it to fifth. Then we get eliminated week 1.

Seriously hindy you’re on the money or close to it went it comes to predictions, player predictions, reading the play or potential signings

you’re an asset to the forums, mate!

yeah our ‘bounce back’ factor has been impressive tbh. We should be favorites going into the game, based on mm being fit. Fingers crossed.

The only way we go into that game as favourites is if we dispose of the raiders with ease, and for mine I just don't see that happening, far more likely it's a torrid game of attrition, and whoever wins comes out a bit worse for wear.

A reasonably hard fought but convincing win and no doubts on injuries would see us come in on even money at best, but like I said i don't see that being the case, the Raiders aint gonna just lie down and their pack has been very good the last half dozen games or so.
