Apparently, Jacob cannot train with the team until they travel to Brisbane and get a couple of training runs up there.

Rankin is a dead weight. No future in NRL. Arthur gets to play 2nd fiddle in a strong side against an average NRL team. Best way to debut imo.
Kids that fail often come in early but also in a poor side. They develop bad habbits and overplay hand. This is more about bringing the kid up to speed.
Think Cleary. He had Maloney running the show and spent a few years working on little things until handed the reigns. As much as we bag D.Brown he has had 40 NRL games which equates to one and a half seasons. Much better he develops the right way and slowly. Last thing you want is the guy playing panic footy.

I think it would be good to start Jacob as Dylan hasn't been exactly setting the world on fire and the threat of young jacob grabbing his position may jolt Dylan into becoming more professional. Go Jacob

He has not chance of taking Brown spot imo. It is just about exposure and learning. I just don't think we are one of those poor clubs that throws a young guy in and says go play your natural game. We are pass that ameture style coaching. We will develop them the right way.
Remember Rheed the start of the year? Even I was calling him a bit of a one trick pony. Now he is top 3 hooker in game.

No I agree that Dylan's position is very safe. But if Arthur has a few big games it would give Dylan a little nudge to be more professional. Also if a half went down in the future come the finals , Jacob will have that necessary experience.

I’m glad we have pushed for Jake rather then rankin who’s defence looked pretty average in some of the highlights. It also says to Moses we might have a ready made replacement by 2023 so we won’t be held to ransom by him or his agent.

Or it might say to Drown that he needs to pull his finger out in attack or he might get moved. I have far more confidence in a Moses/Jarthur long term halves pairing than a Drown/Jarthur combo...
