Reckon Samrani is a better option as replacement. We probably need someone that can cover centre (assuming Matto was that person, or was it Kelma?) and edge (or can Guymer/Doorey do that?).

Anyhow reckon Samrani is the best option, can cover backs and edge.

I’d pick Mataele, from the limited game time I’ve seen of him and Tuivati he seems to be a better defender in the middle

Which isn't a great option, all that does Is severely weaken our line up, all just to give Mataele/Tuivati a token 15-20 mins.

We can easily cover these mins, while having better coverage with Samrani on the bench.

Yep, best of luck to them all - but Smith, Doorey, Guymer and Tuivaiti isn't striking fear into anyone about what happens at the 20min mark.

I guess it means that Cartwright, Moretti and Greig are really off the pace of what Ryles is after in his forwards this season, to not be on the injured list and not even get named in the first 22.

Sounds like there been training at half pace for 11 years.

No wonder there has been collateral damage upping the intensity at training.

That’s assuming Samrani can defend at a 1st grade level out there and if we don’t get an injury then we just have him on the bench for a token 15-20 minutes if that.
We’re up against it and will likely lose even if we get no injuries. May as well hope for some luck with injuries and match them through the middle with fresh bodies. If they dominate us in the middle Munster, Hughes and Pap will kill us on the edges.
