Everyone loves Yates. I'm unsure why. Games I saw Hands looked better.
Rein looked also better then both. If anyone was to push JA out for me it is Mitch Rein.

Hands is injured. He may end up being our new Schneider who was supposed to be better than Mahoney.

^^^^

Melbourne Storm

Plenty of changes for Craig Bellamy's side this year with Ryan Papenhuyzen unavailable for at least six weeks of the competition and several key departures. Will Warbrick was sensational in the Pre-season Challenge and should start on the wing, particularly after confirmation Dean Ieremia suffered a season-ending knee injury. Tariq Sims is touch and go for Round 1 due to a calf problem with Trent Loiero a good chance to start in the back row after his impressive pre-season. Tui Kamikamica is also out for at least six weeks.

  1. Nick Meaney
  2. Will Warbrick
  3. Reimis Smith
  4. Grant Anderson
  5. Xavier Coates
  6. Cameron Munster
  7. Jahrome Hughes
  8. Nelson Asofa-Solomona
  9. Harry Grant
  10. Christian Welch
  11. Eliesa Katoa
  12. Trent Loiero
  13. Josh King
  14. Tyran Wishart
  15. Tom Eisenhuth
  16. Alec MacDonald
  17. Aaron Pene

Take out from 5 through to 10 for Melbourne and the rest of the side is very weak.

Even with our outs we should be able to beat them.

Especially once Paulo and RCG win the forward battle over the Nelson and Welch.

Then you simply don’t pay attention on here.
There’s one clear and obvious reason people say they think Yates deserves to be in NRL.

I'm not a huge JA fan but I still feel he offers more then Yates.

Yates couldn't even get a spot in NSW CUP last year. Unsure why people think he has gone from that to an NRL utility. First step is to make the NSW CUP starting side.

I think together with asi, its more ppl dont want ja in the team and rather someone else.

I actually don't mind ja at 14 replacing the hooker. His defense and stamina is good in the middle.

I don't really like him defending wide.. Lateral issues.. And he is slow in movement

From the very little I’ve seen of him, he’s ok but none of his observable skills really stand out to ear mark him as NRL level. But ultimately it’s his not-easily-observable (and certainly not from the occasional glimpse) skills that determine if he would make it. He could be an awful passer, but insanely good at reading the opposition, and only those watching him all the time will see that.
Jrthur may have weak parts of his game, but he also has obvious skills that could see him in NRL. If he doesn’t become a genuine NRL player it’ll be because he didn’t overcome those weaknesses, not because he was never capable.

Well the more I think about it the more I feel no 14 will be between Rein or JA.

I also don't see any way Dunster is rushed back into the side. Id suggest Laizou is called up beforehand

The 14 is going to be very dependent on Hodgson.
Loizou may be short term but I think Dunster is well in front otherwise.

stamina? Have we seen him more than 5 minutes to say he’ll be any good?
