Team list Tuesday Rnd 2 vs Penrith Friday night

Side named as expected. I don't think there'll be any shock changes, other than keeping the opposition guessing about whether Paulo or someone else starts the game.

Happy for BA to play around with that choice week to week, but agree that Offa (or in future weeks Greig) starting and Paulo coming on after 20-25mins seems to be the most effective combo.

Hopefully we compete and stay with Penrith for at least the first 60mins - and possibly even press the premiers for the full 80mins, with any ounce of luck flowing our way.

I am a fan of Junior coming off the bench but worry this week particularly that if Offa was to start that he will get dominated early against Penrith… Leota, Fish and Kenny all have very good line speed and will be fired up after a loss.

Junior came off the bench when we beat Penrith last year in the final round.

But i sort of agree i reckon mixing it up is a good thing.

I reckon certainly in day/arvo games early on in the season Junior is better suited coming off the bench.

This and probably Canberra in the first 5 weeks would be the 2 games i would consider starting Junior with the opposition starting packs.

Yeh 100% he did and it worked well that game but completely different scenarios, we were struggling and I think Penrith took us a little lightly thinking it was going to be a cakewalk.

I think BA will change it up game to game based on circumstances.

I think Emu will have one run in reggies coming off the hammy and then back in from next week. Not sure who makes way for him though, we are stacked in the forwards.

Gee there has been a lot of crossover of players to have played for both clubs in the past 20-25 years.

Safe to say we have probably had more misses then hits.

Any notable omissions or ones who shouldn't have made the cut - Mick Gordon was unfortunate but couldn't find another Fullback in the past 20-25 years who played for both clubs.

RCG, Hopgood, Brad Drew, Carty, Kevin Kingston, Michael Jennings had performed too well at Parramatta to be included in this side.

1 - Michael Gordon
2 - George Jennings
3 - Paul Whatuira
4 - Waqa Blake
5 - Etu Uaisele
6 - Jaeman Salmon
7 - Will Smith
8 - Suaia Matagi
9 - Mitch Rein
10 - Shane Shackleton
11 - Lee Hopkins
12 - Frank Pritchard
13 - Joseph Paulo
There's only one top quality first grade player in that lot.

Penrith Panthers have pulled a late switch with Daine Laurie to come onto the bench for Friday’s clash against the Eels.
The Panthers failed to score a point against the Storm last week.

Not sure what bringing a winger/fullback onto their bench is going to assist with tbh… just means more minutes for their forwards unless he’s coming on for Soni Luke but then they lose hooker rotation

picked Panfers, starting to wonder if I should change

their pack being a player down against our pack and we always play the Panfers up the middle and we seem to have the wood over them except for finals

Tulsen Tollet. Phil Adamson.

If you want to wind the clock back Matt Goodwin.

Geez we’ve come a long way (and the Panthers squad has come back to the pack). Side by side, I reckon I’d prefer Turuva, May, To’o, Cleary, JFH (just), and maybe Luke over our lads. It’s a toss up between Edwards over Gutho and Yeo over Hopgood, so I think we finally match up pretty evenly with them.

Panthers forum is hating on Soni Luke.
Im hating on these ads that jump up and take half your screen hostage.
