Maybe BA should take a leaf out of a real coach's book, and try something different with Reed - have him start on the bench to avoid tackling himself to a standstill and come on for the final 60mins?

Just have to start with a defensive forward in his place to cover some middle/ruck defence for the first twenty mins, and utilise Matterson and Gutherson (and Brown) around the ruck more as receiver/dummy half options in attack. Make teh opposition actually guess about what we might do, ffs.

He is bog average. He is doing nothing more then Matt Keating did. MK actually actualy had rock solid defense yet he copped it on here for not running. Mahoney has the fans golden pass on here it feels like.. He barely runs and has average defense. The odd good kick like every 2nd game. WOW.
De gois was better. Peats was superior. Problem was De going got old and Kaysa who was also better was injury prone so we ended up with that slug from Dragons playing. Forget his name.
Mahoneys had one very good season. 2021. The rest has been nothing more then BOG AVERAGE.

Well that does need some improvement also, but I think a lot of that has been down to lack of attitude/ mentality all season.

Possibly, watching Penrith defend yesterday against Souths they have a similar defensive structure.

South tried to go around them but the slide alot faster than we do. They also have line speed and kick chase pressure.

It.may be down to attitude bit it seems to be like this for a season or more now.

We had the third best defensive record in the comp the previous two seasons. Something has really gone amiss this season.
