Back when we had Peats, De Gois and Kritchard we always had two dummy halves in the 17. It depends how good your second best hooker is. They're not normally versatile enough to offer injury cover so it's a waste of a spot if they're not NRL quality.
A contingency only appears wasted in hindsight, and only to f**king idiots. Just because you didn't crash your car one year doesn't mean you wasted money on insurance. We're wasting a spot anyway because Arthur only uses 16 men and one to shine the seat with his arse
I haven't crashed my car for ten years. Where do I stand?A contingency only appears wasted in hindsight, and only to f**king idiots. Just because you didn't crash your car one year doesn't mean you wasted money on insurance.
I'm amazed that they think Mbye is a better option at 1 ahead of Sloan... Might yet prove a masterstroke but surely Mbye is a perfect UTILITY given he covers 1 through 7 plus hooker....Amone & Sloan dropped by dragons.
Mbye to fullback
Bird to 5/8th
McCullough 9
Dragons drop young guns Sloan and Amone for Eels clash
Dragons coach Anthony Griffin has dropped a selection bombshell, axing two of the game’s brightest talents for Sunday night’s clash with the Eels.www.smh.com.au
Whatever gets that points for and against differential right up there, that's what they need to do.....He's a utility yet is starting?!? WTF is Griffin thinking??? The point is Mbye and Bird have more experience and are less 'targetable' than the younger players that have been dropped.
Points differential is just a natural consequence of the team's quality over 24 games. Teams might win or lose more than their share of coin toss games over the course of a season (like us in 2020) and sneak into a higher ladder position, but the true contenders just don't play that many close games. They are smashing teams by more than two converted tries with regularity. Over the full season they might be +12 points per game better than their opposition. Over the past ten years our best was +5.2 ppg in 2020, when we were eclipsed by Penrith, Melbourne and the Roosters, all at least +11.5 ppg. Souths were fourth best with +8.45 ppg.Whatever gets that points for and against differential right up there, that's what they need to do.....
I feel like if I was Gronk I'd post a picture of Gene Wilder in the guise of Willy Wonka with a lame caption right now.....Points differential is just a natural consequence of the team's quality over 24 games.
