Now that Rein is match fit, I reckon it will be his jumper to lose. He was on fire in reggies and could play lock in a pinch.

Carty proved all the Jake haters wrong about him being the appropriate sub for a backline injury. Yes he brings flashy Harlem Globe Trotters stuff to the game, but he's heart attack material in a tight game.

Rein ran for over 100mtrs. It gives Hands a start also at hooker which is good.
Being the times of other games and this one being in Qld I imagine we will take Bryce as 18th man. Or do they generaly take 2 spare up?

I'd like to see Rein get a go in a good side. He has spent a large part of his career in shit teams.

Ive been wondering if we will see the best of Rheed if hes spelled 10 b4 and 10 after the break. Of cause it all depends on how or if Rein is used but being named in the 14 jumper surely its a good indication. I suspect Mr Ennis might have his hands all over this very surprising selection. I'm not sold on the idea of split 9s when you have an established 80 min player. Appreciate the need to give the No. 2 hooker a sniff of first grade though so its not a bad option.

Has to play him at some stage or its pointless. I suspect he'll get a run in the forwards and maybe BA sees him more as a utility.

On the coverage they said Lane tore his hammy at training. One would think a torn hammy would be a 3/4 weeks proposition, not a 1 week unless it was a minor strain. We’re not in a position we need to take risks. I’d be starting Matto again with Niukore coming onto the bench. In fact I’m almost certain that’s what will happen.

not surprised to see Carty back to 18th, and equally not surprised at the outcry about it on social media who think 1 fluky moment of brilliance gives you a Mortgage on a bench position for the foreseeable future… I think our bench will likely change week on week based on opposition, game plan and injury mitigation. It might be that every 5-6 weeks we plan a spell for Reed by having Rein on the bench for a week or two, before Reed goes back to 80mins again. It’s about the long game….
