Ive been wondering if we will see the best of Rheed if hes spelled 10 b4 and 10 after the break. Of cause it all depends on how or if Rein is used but being named in the 14 jumper surely its a good indication. I suspect Mr Ennis might have his hands all over this very surprising selection. Im excited.

Well Rein isn't a utility and neither does he offer backline cover, so he would have to be in the team to make an impact.

On the coverage they said Lane tore his hammy at training. One would think a torn hammy would be a 3/4 weeks proposition, not a 1 week unless it was a minor strain. We’re not in a position we need to take risks. I’d be starting Matto again with Niukore coming onto the bench. In fact I’m almost certain that’s what will happen.

not surprised to see Carty back to 18th, and equally not surprised at the outcry about it on social media who think 1 fluky moment of brilliance gives you a Mortgage on a bench position for the foreseeable future… I think our bench will likely change week on week based on opposition, game plan and injury mitigation. It might be that every 5-6 weeks we plan a spell for Reed by having Rein on the bench for a week or two, before Reed goes back to 80mins again. It’s about the long game….

As much as I'm hurt for Carty, I'm glad our squad is at this point.

Big congratulations to BA for his use of the bench last game. Im also extremely pleased to see Rein on the bench this week. That move alone spells Rheed and should maintain strong D and crisp service from the 9 position. It also allows Hands to play big minutes at 9 in the 2s. We must determine if hes up to supporting Hodgson next season once Rein and Rheed are gone. Very exited by this change of strategy.
