Pretty standard work rate for an edge forward. Here's Liam Martin's work rate last week:

77 minutes, 5 runs, 31 tackles

Some edge forwards make more carries, because that's their role in the game plan, or there were more game situations where the ball came their way (remember they are essentially backline players), but one tackle every three minutes is about average for the position. It really depends whether the opposition is targeting his side.

You can't compare our guy to Liam Martin, that's just not right

The bubble bursts for the bunnies today

That Dodd pom , his nrl not looking flash, playing reserves, got flogged by the jets 40-10

It’s amused me seeing people wax lyrical about the bunnies being 2 from 2. They’ve played 2 teams expected to run bottom 4 and won them by 2 and 1 points respectively.

FMD, I just looked at the stats. Hands went off in the 25th minute when the scores were 0-0. He never came back on and he gets dropped when the final score is 32-6. He also made 15 tackles for 0 missed. I’m not a Hands hugger as I think he has been ordinary. But, if it’s more runs and attack Ryles is after from his starting 9, he sure as shit isn’t getting it from Lussick.

I’m starting to get a bit concerned lads. Super early but I’m getting Kearney 2 vibes.

I genuinely hope Hands is injured because if he isn’t, I’ll have some serious doubts going forward.

The fact the rookie in Smith has got 50+ mins in both games shows how bog average Hands is and how Ryles thinks of him. Lussick doesn’t offer much but if all we are looking for is 20-25min to start the game, he offers no less than Hands has.

He would be looking for line speed and defence for the first 25, which lussick has over hands

Hands is paying (some of) the price for our lacklustre 0-0 performance for the first 35 mins. We need energy and talk out there.

Hopefully the new 7, Brown (and the rest of the experienced players) also man up.

Obviously Hands could be injured. But I reckon it's because, Hands while hasn't missed many, is fairly "passive" in defence and doesn't really lead our line speed/tests the ruck. Lussick does a better job in this area.

Lussick / JAC into starting side. Russell/Hands out of team

The only question you can ask is do these changes improve our team from last week significantly enough?

You'd have to say No.

Russell unlucky unless injured.

I’m up there with the biggest Lussick haters but I don’t mind the change. Hands has looked off so far this year, hasn’t been up to the pace of the game at all.
Our middle has struggled both games but I’d be looking at changing the 8 and 10 before the 9. Hopefully he brings some enthusiasm and line speed.
In saying that, I predict I’ll be on here a few minutes into the game complaining about his poor service, not even getting into position to make a tackle and his attempted barge overs
