Have you gone soft on BA?
I think BA has had a good month in the coaches box. Might have taken 240 games but i think he is coaching better then ever.

Helps when the squad playing to there potential.

But he whinged about the refs in Canberra which was well overdue.

Smashed souths who have owned us for years.

He has finally settled on the backline with Russell on the wing and Simmonson in the centres.

Moretti has gotten a sample of minutes in his few games. Not just a token 3-4 mins at the end.

Injecting Ogden and Makatoa at the right time into the game.

Letting Jake go to Manly was the right decision for all involved. It removes the pressure for everyone Jake, Brad and the side.

Davey and the use of hodgo are the only ???? you could say atm.

Backline and dummy half depth isn't great but that's the HOF responsibility as much as it is BA.

Some excellent points but the question was posed to one of our resident BA Appreciation Society lifetime members.

Slobadan Garrick can nail them from 80 out, left footed and into the wind.
Field kicking! I doubt even our kick rush will give your trainer time to run a tee out for Garrick to put up a bomb, let alone the 20 minutes Garrick pretends he’s a statue

I really liked our kicking game V The Dogs. I note in "Sunglasses" Ciraldos pre game interview he stated they "knew" where every Mitch kick was going and they had tactics around that. Mitch mixed it up early. It was a great tactic. Also the targeting of TPJ by Moses. Well done BA. Impressive.

Agree mate. Some of the knock on Mitch on here (and I’m not saying they’re wrong) has been that his fifth option is always a bomb. He mixed it up brilliantly against the Dogs.

Oi, don't go giving BA any credit for Moses targetting TPJ.
Moses said in the post game interview that he watches heaps of video on his opposition in advance and he identified some areas to try and exploit
(Psst... hey Dylan, maybe you could learn to do the same while you're on the sideline mate).

I suspect Jake Arthur knows as much about our players strengths and weaknesses as our coaching staff does, and considerably more than our own players do about themselves.

I fully expect this knowledge to be exploited this week.

Whether it actually impacts the result remains to be scene though.

Maybe Mitch should share his secrets with BA if he has any more. Ffs Mitch!

He will have plenty of time to learn until the end of the year.

So in other words he has no idea.

I have long been a critic of BA, but I like this post.

I agree with lot of the recent decisions - i like Simmonson and Russell at centre and wing, I love what BA has done with Carty and, by luck or by design, the absence of Hodgson strengthens the team

honestly, with all things considered and the players available, this is truly the best available team that parra could put on the park this week

Yeah I have been critical of BA as well. I have been off him since late 2021.

But I just thought watching us yesterday we looked like a team in sync and all going in the same direction something we haven't seen in a long time.

This weeks game is the type of game BA gets them up for at home with backs against wall when it comes to availability.

Big home crowd expected on Saturday night old boys day and Manly are a side that if you bring the intensity they tend to buckle.

They have that flat track bully about them if you don't turn up they can put a score on. But if you do bring the intensity they don't do the grind very well and prefer the flashy stuff.

I’m interested to see what BA does with Waqa when he gets fitness back.

we all thought he’d been dropped but ended up being due to a long term injury, so we don’t really know where BA stands with him.

Does he come back in? Personally I hope not
