I think Waqa has been the big improver in the last month or so. He needs to develop a step to straighten up his run and draw the outside defender. He runs at an angle towards the sideline and the defence just follows him. By the time Dunter gets the ball he has nowhere to go. The only time Dunster gets space is when they cut Waqa out.
Moving to the left has made a huge difference for waqa
Now he just needs to learn to draw and pass and tackle properly

All the pressure is on the Panfers. They lose and it’s a massive fail. We lose and it’s a pass just (IMO) I reckon the Westies are going to sh!t their pants and drop their bundle. We are going to go 110 percent and not die wondering. The making of Moses.

I'm guessing Gutho is playing with a leg injury. He hasn't been himself for over a month. I thought it was the contract bs, but he looks slower and a bit weak in the tackle. Or maybe I'm just imagining it.

He injured his knee about 20 mins in he was hobbling around for a couple of sets after that.

Gutho, Fergo and Nathan brown all look busted yesterday.

I wouldn't play nathan brown this week if he isnt 100%. He doesnt look right and its stupid taking a 65% player into a final when we have a fresh player and capable replacement in matterson sitting on the sideline.

Papalli can move into 13 play in the middle

He severely looks like the white wimp that got picked on at school.
Yeah not exactly chiselled. He looks soft and bloated. About a year ago he started promoting vegan meals and I don't know if he still is or what his diet is but most physical stuff is related to diet.

Amazed we didn't cop any suspensions! Maybe the fix is on... NRL keen for us to be the good news story, all Sydney GF vs Souths, and we're the only team that can knock out Melbourne?

I have a lot of confidence in us providing Paulo doesn’t cop a suspension.

panthers had 4 players on report from last night and none got suspended.

what is the chance from our 3 on report we lose them all?

all have priors this year.
How did Yeo avoid being charged for a crusher ?

Keep 'em guessing... name a standard team and spring any changes/surprises late in the week. This is how I think the 21 will be named (assuming Fergo is injured):

Gutherson
Dunster
Penisini
Blake
Perham?
D Brown
Moses
Campbell-Gillard
Stone
Paulo
Lane
Niukore
N Brown

Smith
Papalii
Matterson
Kaufusi
Cartwright
Makatoa
Lussick
Opacic (or an uninjured Ferguson in the 17 for Haze/Hayze, and Opacic drops out)

Who BA puts in the starting 13 and bench for gameday could be interesting... Ithink he'll change it up a bit from the Melbourne and Newcastle games.

Fergo didn’t sound overly confident when asked if he’d be right for Saturday on triple m this Arvo.

if he’s out do we go with

Russel to wing
Perham to wing
Waqa to wing Opa to centre
Waqa to wing niukore to centre

personally i would go with the last option and bring Matto back in

Possibly Niukore in the backs, Matterson to start? Possibly Lussick to start (if fit) with Stone off the bench instead of Smith. Or possibly Stone at lock with N Brown coming on after 20mins with Stone slotting across to dummy half? Or we might go with a forward heavy bench, and Cartwright has a break? Spoilt for choice...

I think Brown off the bench with stone in 13, unless you put carty at 13.

brown is no doubt injured. He already plays longer than he should

BA was a massive wrap on Stone after the Panthers game, said it was going to be hard not to pick him moving forward… as luck should have it Lussick being injured he slotted straight in at 9 and was more than serviceable (albeit without a running game) and made 50 tackles 0 missed.

So it’s hard to see BA not trying to find a spot for him somewhere again, personally though he starts or nothing for mine, I don’t think he would add anything but cover from the bench. I like the idea being tossed up of him starting 13 with NBrown coming on from the back fence to rip in 25 mins into the game.

I expect we'll be better for the Knights game and we'll need to step it up against the panthers as the Knights had a few sparks but other than that they were ordinary I thought.

You could see that the time off did RCG a lot of good, he really was raring to go and I thought Jnr and Moses especially had a bit more spring in their step so the week off looks to have done them good.

On the negative side, I thought we looked like a team that had 3 different lineups in three weeks, we seemed to lack cohesion as a team although individually some played well.

Hopefully, that run sees us gel a bit better as a team against the Panthers as we really need to improve our teamwork and discipline against the panthers, imho

On Niukore to centre It means we lose him as an option to shift to centre with an injury to an outside back, for that reason alone I reckon it's better to strt him as a forward or play him in the bench rotation meaning we don't need to have any other cover for an outside back for injury / HIA.

If Fergo is out, surely he just brings Opa or another winger in and minimises the disruptions.
Moving Waqa to wing hasn't been done all year, not sure BA would consider it going into a finals game when Perham, Russel and Loizou are all outside backs who were given a taste already this year.
