He was actually our best forward last year..I will never understand how that plodder Lawrie keeps making the team
Not sure if that says more about him or more about the others..
But..
He was the best..

And we let Host go. Having said that what contract would we offer Host he hasn't been a star forward.Team is to be expected with the shock of Willame.
Ford omission isn’t a shock, hasn’t shown much of anything since coming into grade
Griffin has had the luxury of seeing how they train so, I imagine he knows what he is doing. Maybe the Feagai twins need to just perform outstanding well in reserve grade before being promoted to first grade. Having said that I would hav put Ravalawa on the bench and JP on the left wing. For me Williame is a selection out of the blue.He was actually our best forward last year..

DS's post explained it pretty well IMO.Don’t mind that 17.
Not sure why Williame is on the bench but in Hook we trust I guess.

I’m not sure I’d call the coach watching the players train should be called a “luxury”Griffin has had the luxury of seeing how they train so, I imagine he knows what he is doing.
Bird & Ramsey could be potent on the left with early ballI'd hazard a guess this is exactly the thinking.
For the whole off season we've been told that Bird will be brought in slowly and won't be expected to play the full 80.
There has been some question around McCullough's ability to play 80.
So your reshuffle options definitely provide cover for both scenarios.
And again, as you mention, we don't know what's been happening in training or how they've been performing. I'd guess that Hook is figuring the Feagai twins need more time to develop. I personally didn't see them offer that much in the trials either but neither did Williame. Williame may be the safe bet at this early point in the season. Given one option would be to have Feagai start with Bird on the bench (which would also cover the 2 shuffle issues), it says to me that the coaching staff think the Feagai twins aren't ready.
Yes and Lomax and Ravalawa will re-unit on the right where most of the tries were scored last season. In attack there will also be Hut and Clune weaving their magic, (let's hope they both produce long kicks into the corners) after all that is why we have Soward on the coaching staff.Bird & Ramsey could be potent on the left with early ball

This is true.It would be if you are watching from one of these:
Kerr at backrow and Wiliame on the bench are dare I say, Mary like selections...
The other one is fui at lock. He has never impressed me. Though I am not sure of the alternative.
Yes yet another one given the McGregor treatment.Fuimouno started well last year. Really stood out. Then for some reason Mary dropped him or gave him hardly any game time, I think it was after the break during covid/lockdown. Since then he was terrible but I think from trying too hard and trying to make an impact off the bench. If he can get to his best it will be awesome as he has the ability. Played reps for juniors apparently.
