Seriously no accountability, the only players that get dropped are fringe players.
No backs on extended bench no backs even named outside of the 1-5.
Gabreal named in Flegg, what a joke we are playing the laughing stock of the league, if we lose to them Fitz should just walk away.
I notice Nicho sponsored by a freight company I hope they ship to Perth
Didn’t think to look that there was no jets game this week?
Perhaps with his history of injury they want minutes

Does Kleenex have a fringe?

I can't think of another example where a guy has signed for a rival club for the following season and has continued to be picked on the bench.

Atko.

There's been plenty of examples where gun players are moving on - Jerome Leui, Jack weighton a couple - and xontinued to get picked in the 13, but they were guns and no way you drop them.

Atko.

This is just weird.
The guy comes on every week and does two-fifths of farkall. Even trying to play devils advocate and explain some positive element to it I cant.

I reckon the coach has money on for us to miss the 8.

The coach is clearly too close personally to his players - he’s affraid to upset any of them.
I reckon he can’t cope with a difficult conversation, whether that be telling someone they’re dropped, or even giving them a bake for playing like shit.

I've had that thought too, surprised moylan and wade aren't still running around (only half joking saying that too)

Just remember with Moylan he was rested not dropped.
I remember Gavin Miller dropped to reserve grade in his last year, the club has done it in the past, just because that was a couple of years ago it doesn't change and player accept it

We have very few Jets pushing for spots, as bad as a number of our guys have been the reality of it is Tuks, Hiroti, Burns, Hohepa are the only ones pushing and Hohepa is the ONLY one I’m at a loss to why he hasn’t been picked.
It’s a Jr recruiting issue, we have prioritised good guys with good football ability over raw explosive power or speed that can be harnessed

So what is the consensus of what everyone wanted to see?

For me seeing Talakai in the centres instead of Hiroti. I just think the backline flows better. Great for doing the hard yards too.

Oregon dumped and Jesse C promoted to starting prop with AFB.

Billy Burns into the 17

H. Puru on the bench instead of Atkinson.

A new forward promoted to the bench. Whoever has shown the best form in NSW Cup.

At least you’d be trying a few things new after getting lapped two games in a row.

I want Sifa starting in the front row, Herb dropped for Rudolph on the bench and Atkinson swapped for Hohepa. Possibly Nikora to Center with burns into the backrow

I would honestly take any kind of change - at least it would mean Fitzgibbon recognises there is a problem and change is required.

Don't pay attention to the people with eyes, who disapprove of the job this man is doing with the bench and team selection. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that most people with eyes approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it.

I haven't. I stand by this man. I stand by this man because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands in front of things.
Things like unfinished leagues clubs, the freshly painted exterior wall or at the beach. And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to the sharks, they will always rebound with some of the most powerful staged photo ops in the NRL.

The greatest thing about this coach is he's steady. You know where he stands. He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday. Events can change, this man's beliefs never will.

The best example I can recall was Blake Ferguson, who said he was leaving to join another club because he wanted to win a premiership, signing with Canberra. This was in in the dark times of 2010 and our coach was the one and only Shane Flanagan. Shane to his credit said he kept picking him because he had no one else available who was any better.

A ringing endorsement for "the man". Not sure it will convince folk about the "the coach" in the man's shadows.

"If he believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday and if events change, his beliefs never will." (paraphrased)

That is part of the makeup of a toxic culture. Change resistance can be a poison. It's OK if in the next 3 years he brings home the bacon with a title but if he's like this despite what is unfolding I see a little bit of a problem.

I also know however that next to NO ONE posting in here has their ear to the ground enough these days to understand all the potential challenges, instructions, conversations, plans etc that are going on behind the wagons which are very robustly circled these days.

We love to comment, crucify and berate over the superficial view nearly all of us have.

So, I remain on the fence for now. Happy to do so.

I have seen enough this year to say Burns offers more then OK
He would be playing against his old team, and he fires up, he busts a guy.
But same old same old
