Don't pay attention to the people with eyes, who disapprove of the job this man is doing with the bench and team selection. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that most people with eyes approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it.
I haven't. I stand by this man. I stand by this man because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands in front of things.
Things like unfinished leagues clubs, the freshly painted exterior wall or at the beach. And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to the sharks, they will always rebound with some of the most powerful staged photo ops in the NRL.
The greatest thing about this coach is he's steady. You know where he stands. He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday. Events can change, this man's beliefs never will.
A ringing endorsement for "the man". Not sure it will convince folk about the "the coach" in the man's shadows.
"If he believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday and if events change, his beliefs never will." (paraphrased)
That is part of the makeup of a toxic culture. Change resistance can be a poison. It's OK if in the next 3 years he brings home the bacon with a title but
if he's like this despite what is unfolding I see a little bit of a problem.
I also know however that next to NO ONE posting in here has their ear to the ground enough these days to understand all the potential challenges, instructions, conversations, plans etc that are going on behind the wagons which are very robustly circled these days.
We love to comment, crucify and berate over the superficial view nearly all of us have.
So, I remain on the fence for now. Happy to do so.
