ennis and witt wil both play for surewe need one of them on the bench as an impact player or push bk to 2nd row with one of them to lock and tyrie to the bench but dont wory i will wave my magic wond and everything will be good by mm lets say a year
Well, he is suffering from a minor calf injury, I think he should be ok to come back next week.
I personally think that there should be no questions about giving the captaincy to Buderus. He has shown that he is capable of being the leader, and I believe would make a great captain. What does everyone think? Should they stick with BK or give Bedsey as shot?
Buderus was infinitely better than BK tonight. I like BK, but he's not far behind Johns when it comes to the amount of years left in him. Buderus will be around for a good while yet, and he was just inspirational tonight. Let Buderus handle the captaincy, and let BK do what he does best- inspire the side with some big hits.
I'd like to see Hages stick with the Ennis 5/8th, Kidley Half back option. I thought Ennis did ok last night considering the circumstances he was put into the game under. Fullback is the real worry, I think Young is the only option at the moment.
Kurt will be playing Halfack, he's better suited to the first receiver role and we saw the form at the end of last year... sort of. Ennis might get a go at 5/8, but I'm not sure he's ready.
Wouldn't mind seeing Carmont at fullback. That takes him out of his more favoured spots, but he looks capable and I think it could be an interesting experiment. We're going to need some creativity all around the place now, and guys like Young and later Hughes won't bring anything to the spot in that regard.
Kennedy is once again in doubt for next week and with Simpson already out for a month or more, then there is another big problem in the forwards. Maybe Ennis will get a go there? I just hope Buderus doesn't flare up his heel again.
Tyrie has to be considered for the halfback job, but I think it would be just too big an adjustment for the team to go from one of the biggest ever and best defending halfbacks to a little guy they have to hide in defence - Tyrie might improve the attack, but Johns was also the cornerstone of our defence.
newcastle is going to have a very different team.
with the return of players such as newton, quinn, hall, hughes all in the next week or so. then soon after will be o'davis.
but then we have seage, johns, tahu, simpon all still out
