Something in our favour is that the game is at home then the bye then Dogs and Titans both at home so potentially 8 points for the taking

Why are you starting Latimore though? I think Cleary needs to consider bringing Poching or Gavet up - assuming they aren't injured. We really need more punch in the middle.
And I also want Moon back, or even a Metcalf debut. Fish to wing is a long term possibility - but we need out of this slump NOW.

Maybe even Tupou in - he's a damn handy player.

I was tossing up between Tupou and Moon. I wasn't blown away by Inu in the centres.

Packer is amazing the way he's always coming back to cover when no other forwards are anywhere near the play. He's a very passionate player - see him scream and punch the ball after a Cowboys try yesterday?

Why not Seymour in the 6? He's been very good there in the past.

As for Manu... sheesh he's really gotta sort his defense out aye. It's not looking very pretty atm. I'd never have thought I'd want to see him dropped - but right now I would be pleased to see Tupou or Inu in his jersey.

Vatuvei's a bad defender at the best of times, but when he's down on confidence he, instead of just making bad decisions, makes the worst possible ones.

Ta'ai is a few weeks off unless you know something that I don't?

I guess I'd like to see Gavet or even Poching ahead of Latimore, but I am resigned to that not happening. Also, I haven't been able to follow the Vulcans closely enough to know who is playing better football.

Only 3 props?

Kinda caught between the devil and the deep blue. I don't see Latimore as offering anything more than some of our second-rowers at the mo'. I think that the expectation of a fit Ta'ai is probably wishful thinking, and I'm uneasy about throwing one of the youngsters in when the team is being messed about with anyway. Heck, the tongue-in-cheek suggestion of Manu to prop is almost as acceptable a solution.

I concede it's a bad idea, but there are many bad solutions to this problem. We seem to have classy second-rowers spilling out our ears. To have Sam and Ukuma, two of our best props out is frustrating, particuarly when Latimore who was a star as a junior hasn't stepped up when the opportunity is there for him to prove himself. My team definitely reflects a vent at his performance - I can be as irrational as the next man.
