Leuluai may have a good defensive game but he has absoloutely no attacking game. Vella played great against the rabbits and was looking good against the Eagles till he came off.

Parra Princess, also aming Thorman as 18 would sort of like take the media off him.

As for Burty, he defended quite well in the centres last week but I'm sure he'll switch around with Grothe now and then.

But when was the last time you actually saw Parra lined up deep and the ball go from #9 to #7 then #6 then #3 and finally #2. Probably beginning of 2002!!!!

When the ball does go out wide to the right, usually Widders gets it, steps and then gets tackled. That's why Langi and Lyon (to a degree) hardly gets the ball.

Therefore, with our current style, it doesn't really matter who plays in the centres. Who plays in the centres is there only for Defence.

Our attack is alot like the days when Jason Smith was here. Dykes sort of attacks like him. Holding the ball for a long time and sometimes the players have no idea what he is going to do.

The last few games of Vella before injury were probably his best for at least a season. Hopefully the form he showed pre injury, continues post injury.
on a side note good to see Hopkins coming back from injury 8)

North Queensland by 20, i can't understand why you would move Burt from fullback when he has been so good there this year  , im glad Tslsous is retained though.....however Thorman must be on the bench!!!...we need some variety of the bench, thi skilled us against the Sharks!!

Tsoulos offloads where good, the first one Morris should have been caught and the other one was dirty Sharks scum knocking it down!

Yes, but they were never on, the least he couldve done was taken the tackle thats the reason he was taken off after that.

As if the Morris one wasnt on, Morris was in LA LA land thinking about the next play. Tsoulos was standing in the tackle with and arm free, Morris should have been aware. The second offload i admit wasnt on and i think Tsoulos would have scored or have gone very close if he hadnt of offloaded.

Tsoulos could have scored himself if he did not try to unload, when he was close to the line.

He has the strength to get over the ine.

He couldve scored himself, but if he wasnt strong enough to get over the line maybe he shouldve taken the tackle and Parramatta wouldve had a chance to score the next play. Although Parra had a number of chances close to the Sharks line and blew it, in this situation this is where we need an organised halfback.

We've got an organised halfback.
We need an organised coaching strategy so the players know what to do when we get into that situation, instead of them all running around like chooks with their heads cut off.

Give up on playing players out of position please Brian.

This will not be the team, this is the Brian Smith of old, back with a vengenance.

I would be surprised if they had any clue if Vella is fit or not and Smith probably hasnt even given it much thought. He has pretty much chosen the exact team that played last week with the possibly uninjured Vella in for the injured Vaeliki. Very little thought process gone on there.

In my opinion I think there will be a minimum of 6 (including positional) changes made to this team by the time the real team is announced on Saturday arvo.

So what is the point in this strategy.

Do you really think that this throws other teams game plans into turmoil.?

Its just a childish game.
And most teams are over it. I certainly am.
