Anyone notice Watmough is out and Wicks starting in 13.
Choc must have succumbed to the injury finally.

Probably the best side Arthur (and the NRL auditor) could name.

I think on this ocassion that is simply the best team we can put on the field after considering injuries. Can't think of any eligible players the would be an obvious pick if it weren't for 2nd tier cap issues.

Agree. Trouble is that if we get 30+ out on us, the media won't sympathise with our injury situation. They will just twist the knife.

Why should the media show Parra any sympathy? The club has got itself into the situation it is in and deserves no sympathy from anyone.

The amount of injured players at the club at the moment is the least of the clubs issues.

I agree that this is the best side under the injury and salary cap circumstances. Interesting halves combination, remember Kelly was five-eighth and captain when BA coached the Melbourne Storm Toyota Cup team to Grand Final victory in 2009. I have a gut feeling that this 'make-shift' side just might cause an upset when they play in front of a vocal home crowd in a 'backs to the wall' situation. I hope the talk about looking for a new coach is just that and no more. We have enough issues with admin blunders without allowing this to spill over onto coaching issues.

Our attack should be ok, the biggest concern is our defence in the middle with Watmough / peats both missing the game. They really make a difference to our middle defence.

Remember when we played a "makeshift" Dragons side, once upon a time ? I think they were all reggie players bar 1 or 2.

Luckily for us Nelson is no slouch in defence and whilst he's not on Peats level he's still very strong.

Only so many times you can flog a dead Horse.
Happy to see Norman as fullback.

I'm not.
I think he's been one of the few creative sparks in the team that has lifted our attacking prowess. That won't be as prominent from fullback.
I would have preferred Semi back there to be honest, and leave Norman at 5/8th.

Still gives me freaking nightmares. Especially when Dykes was laughing and joking straight afterwards.

Norman will probably play in the halves in attack with sandow jumping into fullback. It doesn't really matter anyway, Norman and sandow have been swapping sides all year. Kelly will control the ruck.

Watmough might play still - today's training photos on the eels site has him training with the side.
