Surely Allwood>Maumalo or Tui.

And dunno where this Ayshford plod thing comes from. He was good for long periods last year, then the stupor coach axed him after 1/2 bad games - a lot less rope than others received and my belief at the time is he was dropped because it was easier to do than a crowd favourite.

Number three at best. There's a reason he was playing reserve grade at Cronulla and is here now as well. Kata had a very strong year last year, certainly better than Plodfords, and Fus was probably our best back last year.

Plodford was great back in 2011. Times moved on. He's a bloke you have to cover injury. I like him, seems a good bloke, but lets keep it real. What next, Allplod to fullback?
No one is disagreeing that Fusitua was good last year, and should be in the first grade side - but he was good on the wing and at fullback (really good from memory) until the master coach bowed to media pressure and put Lolohea in

With RTS back clearly Fusitua can't be fullback (although why he wasn't with RTS hurt is beyond me) - he's shown little at centre, and Kata lacks many of the fundamental skills of centre - I just kind of think the best team is with Fus out to the wing, and Fus as the replacement for RTS if needed - Fusitua is a talented kid, no question

Kearney's power summit
Talk about a power meeting. At the end of Warriors training on Wednesday, coach Stephen Kearney had a prolonged chat with halves Shaun Johnson and Kieran Foran. The rest of the Warriors team and staff had returned to the dressing room, but the trio remained in deep discussion as they sat out on the training field, adding fuel to the thought that Foran will start on Sunday.

Kata needs to pull his finger out this weekend. He was shit in the preseason trials dropping ball left right and centre (no pun intended) and hes been shit again in the first 3 games. No one has focused too much on him due to the issues with Tui and the props. But hes been below average. He doesnt play like a centre. He roves around looking for gaps to break the line. I would have him and fus on each wing if we had some stocks at centre coming through but we dont, and Aysh is on the outer it seems.

I disagree that he doesn't play like a centre. Generally he defends the centre channel very well. Occasionally like all good outside backs early on in the tackle count he will cut back to the middle if there's no space outside to centre play and often to beat a forward in the process to get a quicker ruck.

His hands which weren't an issue last year are now an issue.

Then I long for the days when passing was considered playing like a centre - Girdler was talking about setting up wingers on NRL360 the other night...

His defense improved measurably in 2016 to his credit. He still is a likely candidate for a brain fade with or without the ball.

My main issue is having a centre that doesn't pass the ball on occasion.

I think that's overrated at times. Manu brings defenders onto him through his threat so often the opportunity is open for Kata.

That underscores how under appreciated Manu is at times. He has a phenomenal tryscoring record despite playing outside people who rarely if ever set him up.

Yep should have been Fusitua at fullback with RTS out. Leave Tui on the wing and bring in a specialist centre or put Mannering there temporarily (not preferred choice but he can play there if needed)

f**k I'd drop Shaun and leave Ata out there with Keiran. Hope Sipley gets a run. Or Erin "the bench warmer" gets some real game time

15 CHARLIE GUBB

16 SAM LISONE

17 BUNTY AFOA

18 JAMES GAVET

20 LIGI SAO

21 BLAKE AYSHFORD

22 KIERAN FORAN

Vete dropped while Lisone and Gubb stay in first grade eh?

I guess those 2 offloads (and 2 tackle breaks) are just not what Kearney wants!

And even when he gets a ripper pass, like the one from Johnson in the 2011 GF, he still had to use that phenomenal tryscoring skill to get the ball down.

Let's not write him off.
