I'm over the Mannering off the bench experiment.

Mannering in the middle of the park has been something we have been a strength and something we have been able to depend on for years. I don't feel like we are utilising one of our best assets by playing him for less minutes than he is capable of.

In saying that, there is something a little comforting about having him out strengthening our frail edge.

Assuming SJ and Luke are fit to come back, and Beale is fit to play first grade, then I like that. But those are some big assumptions.

Good looking side. Would like to see Beale get a run asap. See if he can help our defensive woes on the right. Tohu has done well, really good in fact, but he could use a little support.

I feel like we're also really missing Pulu atm. He's expected back round 20? If so that's bloody disappointing. Thought he has been really solid.

I don't like this game. Haven't felt too good about it for awhile. Can't put my finger on it, I just don't like it.

The last place Eels are no slouches. They're not like Newcastle from last year and we, apparently, are not like the Warriors from last year.

It'll be interesting, and I'm going.

It's way too soon for a player coming back from a serious leg break, isn't it? Fitness, strengthening, surely you'd have him at least a few games in the lower grades.

Last year's fixture summed up everything wrong with us at the time. Players looked great, fit and ready, during the warm-ups, then were 'hands on hips' gassed after Bodene opened the gate for an early Eels attack down our leftside.

There was about 33 Warriors fans (including kids) in the official supporters bay too.

The nights were quiet back then.

Beale played 80 dour minutes on Saturday. Took a few runs. Made some tackles and didn't miss any.

It may be wise for him to play another week in ISP

I'm not sure that we are. Pulu was great- but Papali'i is going great.

I feel like we're missing Gavet

Doubt he'll make many changes TBH

A lot depends on whether Luke's fit - I am over the smoke and mirrors of naming him

Never understood what Sao did wrong

He got injured, right?

And then just hasn't made his way back into the side for some reason.

Did he? Still, he seemed to be going well, I am over Lisone, and Gavet needs game time - if he's not getting it in the top team he should be getting minutes lower

Still really dislike Blair - Napa, SST, JWH smashed our middle all day, and then in the last minute Blair gets chippy - FFS, Paasi showed the way, unfortunately Blair wasn't up for the fight - then as beaver noted, he carries on like a pork-chop, has one last chance to take the ball up and didn't

Yeah Papali'i has been good but would have Pulu in the 17 as well once fit. He was going well in attack and defensively too. Gavet was returning from injury so....

Hopefully at back end of the year we will be injury free. Unlike the Dragons we have had to deal with a lot of injuries and frequent changes to the 17 (especially in key positions). A consistent side in the last third of the season would be a huge bonus.

Solving right centre is the problem right now. Any good team is going to target Hiku's side. Hiku could do with some time in lower grade to work on his defense.

If he's ready to play lower grade then you could argue he's ready for top grade too. Though I definitely get your point. Mean time opposition will continue targeting Hiku.

What about Mannering playing right centre until Beale or Aysh ready for top grade? Just throwing it out there... ;)

Sao was injured, that is correct, head knock...and then he came back to the ISP no one knows why he has fallen foul of selection, but bank on there being a reason,

I wish he was playing but I back the coaches over the players these days because the results favor us when the preferred players are available and doing their jobs...the game plan is a winner.

Gavet has been a little off his stride, I would put that down to his injury enforced lay off,..Paasi was the same till he got at couple of runs under his belt, now he is the raging bull.

If Lino is out we are at crisis point...and that will ensure a coach like Kearney will make as little changes as possible.,,,people like Hiku for example are even more likely to stay on.

We started off ok with Lawton and Paasi on the field...,dummy half service was not flash but still good enough for us to look a chance up front.

With Beale I hope the club holds its nerve and gives him every ISP minute he needs...because he is going to be a big part of our campaign.

If you are going to risk anyone...thrash any of the recouping players...that would be Ayshford...but again I prefer the club stick to its guns around player welfare...that is the only way they are going to build and maintain this harmonious culture.

When Lisone comes on we are in a bit of a pickle, we are already over our quota of people that can be baby sat or hidden in the line.

But again we have gone all in on these guys and poured probably too many hours into them being well versed in the game plan to throw them away too easily.

Who goes to the Halves if we do have a crisis situation ?

Lawton or Haris or Hiku ?

I favor Harris because he is such a smart footballer and sound distributor.

Lawton you need keeping Jazz's time at hooker to a minimum.

Hiku on the other hand I don't have fond memories of his role filling in for thae Kiwis at half in desperate times.

Decisions decisions....poor Stephen I don't envy him the current situation one little bit.

I don’t have fond memories of Harris in the halves last time for the kiwis. Maybe Gavet should start as prop and one of Paasi or afoa come off the bench just to get Gavet fired up in beast mode and then bring on afoa beast ...

Why would you thrash Aysford - he's done more than any of the other centres to prove he's a reliable first grade centre - there are reasons Manly, Penrith, Cronulla etc didn't often play Hiku and Beale in the centres
