All of a sudden we look like a team that can score tries.

This has been said previously, but I really think we should believe we've seen the last of Rocco Berry. His body just clearly isn't up to the rigours of NRL right now. One day it might be, but the amount of upper body injuries, whether they're related to the plexus issues I don't know, but I don't think we can keep carrying a centre who is just as likely to go down during a game and force us into reshuffles/leave us with one less on the bench.

I don't like saying that, because I've always been a fan.

Anyway, I'd probably go Capewell in at centre and give Leaitaua a bit more time, and I think Webby is likely to be reluctant to bring Ali back in.

Yeah, Capewell will go a long way to helping DWZ tighten up that edge, which looked suspect yesterday. But I am not sure I see exactly what Leiataua so desperately needs to work on that ain’t adequately compensated for by his upside.

I'd give Ali another game in Cup purely from a fitness/recovery standpoint. He's also pretty fragile...

He is only 24.

He just needs to string some games together, much like Metcalf did, & get some confidence. He has all the attributes to be a top quality NRL centre.

I agree that Berry is just cooked, such a shame because he's high quality.

The Boyd and TT injection is too good to ignore, our spine just looked crisp and fast and it allowed CHT to carry on doing what he does best stopping guys dead on their tracks.

Metcalf is obviously next year's problem, but even as a huge Charnze fan I'm starting to think we're better balanced if he takes up centre.

Yeah, I agree he has the attributes. And I probably went over the top, considering Benji had what, 5 shoulder recons and played 340 NRL games with a Blues stint amongst it all?

But let's say he comes back in 3 weeks, or 2, or whatever...I just don't think he can be picked again as a starting centre. He just cannot stay on the park this year and when it happens, it forces us into a complete restructure. Ali isn't exactly bullet proof either but I think it can be costly if we try to carry injury-prone outside backs without adequate cover.

Yeah Boyd looked like a 150+ game NRL player on Sunday. The lines he ran, the kicking game, the direction, geez it was impressive. He didn't tackle well and that needs to improve, but the sharp shooting goal kicking as well, man it was just so good to watch.

Did anyone hear on the commentary that CHT has played with 12 halves partners at the Warriors? Something like a new one every 7 games or so. And then they mention Ash Taylor, I'd completely forgotten he ever played for us.

Yea he played well didn't he. Got bumped off for their first score but hopefully that doesn't happen too often... made the right read to be there, just didn't stick the contact.

I think the best part though was he didn't overplay. Just steered the team, gave early ball if he saw space, and kicked well. Kept it pretty simple and it paid off. Really pleased for the guy, hopefully more to come.

And TMM is quickly becoming invaluable in that 14 role... Watson and Wishart type levels of versatility.

Our right side defense last week consistently looked like it was a man down, and it actually didn't seem to be DWZs fault at all. I couldn't work out who wasn't doing their job
