I’d go with that team minus the positional mucking around in the backline. I’d drop Pompey if we had better options but I’d rather not juggle people around unnecessarily.

I guess where I'm coming from is

a) Tauipiki is more of a fullback than he is a winger
b) Nicoll Klokstad is as much of a centre as he is a fullback
c) Tuivasa Sheck played well.

Yeah, I'd play Healey as well. I thought Egan looked laboured, even when he had space to run. I honestly feel like Healey is our #1 hooking option and he hasn't debuted yet.

Laban must be miles off the side, because he wasn't in America at all.

We all know Webby isn't going to change the team after one round.

You could be right. I think I’d just take a punt on a young winger though rather than putting a slow centre there. Pompey is just going to get burned badly there.

I'm definitely all for options. But it seems to me that the options in play, with DWZ out, are Pompey, Kosi and Harper. So, basically, it's going to be shit. It's just a question of how it'll be served.

I think Pompey is the least shit of those options.

I think he may get less burned on the wing than he does at centre, maybe...?

as far as I am concerned this was the best game/team last year
Coach went back to plan A as soon as he could but to no avail
Obviously a lot of players on that list have left the club but the replacements are all good, the spine players are all available for selection
Healy for Roache
Fisher for Ale so one of him and Barnet are always on
No Jackson Ford please Laban takes his place in second row
Clark for Jazz

I don't know man, I feel like this was one of those random anomalies. The Warriors are frustrating like that. They beat the best teams randomly and then lose to teams that they should beat on paper.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Walker busted his hand late in the game

Yep, saw that.

I guess the good news is that, while he is probably the best of these kind of players, there's a few of these players floating around. It feels a bit like Clark, Walker and Harris Tavita are three players vying for 2 spots (unless Harris Tavita is thrown into the halves)

On that subject- I think we should about give up on CHT as a top level half. Hes ok at a bunch of things but really not exceptional at anything except maybe defence. Hes not fast, not elusive, doesn’t have a deadly kicking game or amazing footy brain. He’s just a middling player at most things.

I suspect he’s one of those guys who is the coaches favourite at training but it never really quite translates to game day. I’ll bet Pompey and Capewell are too.
What pisses me off the most about Capewell is that he came from a hot-shot club. He made it there and went to crap here.
